What a wonderful Rib Eye. Service was above and beyond. The wine selection was great and the dessert. Fun with Friends.
I was excited to hear Mankas steakhouse reopened as Mankas Backdoor Grill so we came here for dinner. To have a steakhouse literally down the street from our home is exciting. Reservations required via email or phone only. The decor is pretty much the same. What I was hoping for was a higher caliber of service. Checking in with the hostess was awkward. She didn’t say anything and just looked at me as if I was interrupting her. Maybe it’s the weather. Dinner service was the same. I mean just getting water refills was challenge. I don’t expect the quality of service to improve, its not bad just not great. I know its a balance of finding good staff in this area and just needing staff.

Ordered Ribeye Steak, loaded potato and Caesar salad. The food was well prepared and the ribeye was seasoned exquisitely. Regarding the wait staff, asked for no croutons and you guessed it, she brought me a Caesar salad with croutons. Also, she delivered a dirty steak knife with crud on the tip of the knife. Otherwise, casual atmosphere in a wine country setting.

WAY too many flies in this restaurant. for the prices we are paying here there should be no flies. I had no less than half a dozen flies around my table the entire meal. never coming back.
