Once again, BF suggests a breakfast spot and promises it'll be way better than Huckleberry's, so I agree, even though as most of you know if you follow me, I'm not a big breakfast person. As soon as you enter the Benicia Grill, you get an immediate whiff of a combination of impermeated cigarette smell and OLD. At the counter is the unfriendliest host you couls imagine. We stood in front of her for about 2 minutes without her acknowledging our presence...it takes a second to say "I'll be right with you." Eventually we are seated and proceed to wait for service for a good 10-12 minutes. The food was good and the portions are large, would definitely choose this place over the last breakfast place I reviewed, but the stench and vibe of the place alone is a NO for me.

The restaurant was empty but they sat me right next to the only other people in the restaurant. They were on a conference call the entire time I was there. Took a long time to get my food and it was only Luke warm when it arrived. Bathroom was gross and needed repair. With a dirty bathroom, you have to wonder what the kitchen looks like.

Little outdated interior, but foods usually good. Though this last visit the potatoes had something on them that was very off putting...seemed like lime juice or some other acidic juice was put on them. Weird. But I will still be back, the rest of my food was good.

Great food, large proportions. The Karaeoke Bar attached to the restaurant could be good or bad depending on your noise tolerance

This place is WELL worth the money. It was my first time there and it definitely won't be the last. The portions are huge. Even the kids plates are big... The food is great,?

How is this a restaurant and y'all operating like food Maxx!!! When someone walks in it's either " Good morning" (some form of greeting) "Dine in or pick up?? " How hard is that???!! I shouldn't have to look and walk around the entire restaurant to find help then when I do the lady has an attitude! I'm sick of it!! Pick another job if your not happy!!! Life is too short!!! & It's NOT my issue!! I'm just doing my job like you!! Remember you picked this job!!!!!! Noone force you!!!

Chicken fried steak serving was what you would expect for supper.I immediately asked for a go box for one of them. Asked for "crispy" hash browns, they were perfect.Only downside was gravy, noticed crumbled bacon on top, sure enough, was just milk gravy topped with bacon. A few shakes of black pepper and a drizzle of green Tabasco and it was good.Shrimp Fajitas Omelet was very good, a good mix of ingredients and plenty of Shrimp. Serving larger than expected, most of fried rice on way home with us.

I've enjoyed eating here for a while, before covid in fact, but recently they stopped offering dinner which did decrease the menu size a large amount. Still an alright place to eat, just know that some items may no longer be available since your last visit.

Interior was shabby, the kitchen was slow, some of our meal items were less than warm. Eggs over medium were just shy if sunny side up. Truly mediocre. Certainly will not return. Although, our server was gracious and attentive.

It was a nice Sunday and my family went to Benicia Grill after Church. After my family was seated, our server took 30 + minutes before acknowledging us. The host did noticed that we are just waiting at our table and got us the drinks instead. At this time, we are already considering about walking out after waiting for so long. Okay, we got the drink... We decided to stay and see how the food was. Before coming here, we were wondering why we have not gone back to this place in a long while... now we know and will never forget it this time. Food also took a while and no, it's not worth the wait. We paid and I told the manager what happened, he apologized and just gave me lame excuse. Needless to say, this will be our last visit.
