Sketchy staff!! Paid half the $125. in cash, half on card (split w/my cousin) I was charged extra. When I mentioned the bill was to be divided in half, was told the cash wasn't half of the bill. I'll show you, we watched as she went to the register, pull cash from her apron, brought it over to show us. It was a crumpled mess of bills. My cousin only had twenties & ones that were smooth and clean as they had just been to the bank and placed in their wallet! While talking to a local at a store, they knew the exact place without us saying their name. Was told staff very sketchy, when paying with cash & always out of menu items. Will say the food was good. Although they were out of fish so, no fish & chips or fish sandwiches, ran out one of the beers on tab.
At the suggestion of a new friend I met out on the trails, I tried this eatery. Full disclosure, the person recommending works there as well. Said they had the best burger in town after I mentioned looking for a good one.So I went in with every intention of having a burger. Was welcomed quickly by a friendly server and offered a choice of seating. A bit quiet when I arrived so I was happy. Quite full by the time I left (both my belly and the restaurant). Well upon looking at the menu I decided I was more in the mood for a salad so i opted for the Cobb and I must say it was perfect. Super fresh romaine, delicious chicken and I think I may have to marry their bacon! I thought it looked a bit small at first but once I tucked in to eating I realized this is a substantial salad (around $15). Well worth the price, given the location, and obvious food quality.Looking at some other menu items, I thought they may be a bit pricey but if they are like the rest of the food, probably worth it.They've got an assortment of cider and beer and wine as well. The decor is bright and airy and welcoming. For dessert I had a brownie with ice cream that about the size of Montana, had to tap out halfway (ate all the ice cream!), and brought the rest home. All in all very wonderful time. Bill was just over $30 and worth every cent.Round two: I went back for the burger and although the "Bleu" burger is highly recommended, I was drawn to the "Good" burger and glad I did return. Absolute perfection again, with Drew in the kitchen crushing it. Delicious, well-flavored meat, fresh topping and a bun to die for, but again, bacon... oh my. But what I didn't expect was to have the single best order of onion rings I have ever had in my life. You could actually taste the onion! Handmade to order, these are NOT nasty reheats from a bag, they were sublime. On point, well done my friend. OMG, I almost forgot the housemade ranch dressing. I am not a big ranch fan unless I make it from scratch at home, but on Alysha's suggestion to dip the 0-rings, I am glad I did. Like most things here, you get what you pay for. Quality.Had a Cherry cider with the meal in a can and then Friends with Benefits from the tap. The floral nose on that was so good, somehow I managed to finish the whole pint! All in all, a wonderful place to chill with friendly servers, (Ronnie and Alysha) and an overall soft and welcoming vibe. Food the second time was around $25 for a burger and two drinks, again, very reasonable given the quality of service and food.PS... thanks to Val, I am glad we met!
Went in for a bite to eat on my husband's birthday. The food was so delicious & cooked perfectly. We got the Ultimate Supreme Sandwich & The hood burger. Definitely recommend. We will be coming back to try more things. Our waitress was also very nice.
Amazing food, good quality, cozy industrial ambiance, great service! Totally recommend
One of the best place to get a burger, only issue is sometimes they serve reheated burgers. I finally figured it out when I was sitting at counter, and can see the grill. Ordered a burger, never saw her put new meat on, minutes later a overcooked burger, not med rare as ordered, should have sent back, but I do not like sending back food. It was edible, but not as good when freshly cooked. Make sure you request a freshly cooked burger.
I couldn’t believe I’ve never been here before! I ordered the hood burger and got a side of their house made ranch and omg it was amazing. They season their fries and use thick bacon, nothing gets skimped on ? 10/10 new favorite burger place
So... we don't live in Eureka, we are just passing through. My boyfriend had just driven for 8 hours straight and our hotel is in Eureka so we were trying to search for any restaurants still serving after 9:30pm since that was going to be our arrival time. I finally found Sixth and E which Google said was open until 10 so I called to ask how late they were serving food tonight and she said 10 so I specifically asked if we arrived at 9:30 could we still get seated and she said yes. We arrived at 9:25 and they had just put up all of the chairs and she told me they are closing because they were slow tonight. The ONLY reason I did not give this place one star is because she was very friendly and apologized and offered to make us food to go.We looked at their menu (I already knew what I wanted because I had looked at their menu online earlier) and I noticed that their taco plates were 22.00 and 24.00 according to their in person menu but online it had them listed at 17.99 and 18.99. I already thought that was a little high for 3 tacos and beans but we were desperate. If I had known ahead of time that 3 tacos from a little dive bar were going to cost 24.00, we would have gone to Taco Bell honestly. My boyfriend convinced me we should just order them as he was hungry and so tired. He did have a delicious Humboldt cherry cider in a can while we waited.Fast forward to eating the tacos in our hotel. Their online menu on Google had clearly said that the tacos were served on blue corn tortillas (which is why I ordered them as I am allergic to gluten). We open up the box and lo and behold they are on flour tortillas. I had to scrape out the insides and eat it like that. It was mediocre. The side of black beans they included with them were inedible. They weren't completely cooked and tasted like they had been soaking all day in salt water. We passed a Taco Bell on the way to 6th and E and there were 10 cars in line. Maybe if this bar had better prices or better food or (gasp) both, they would have been busy enough to stay open til their advertised closing time.I truly dislike writing negative reviews and usually don't, the majority of my reviews are positive. This is an unfortunate exception.
Warm welcome and an excellent steak burger. We liked it so much, we went twice. Try the homemade onion rings.
One of my favorite restaurants in Eureka! The food is always so fresh and tasty and the service has always been top notch. The pork belly tacos are especially exquisite.
I got 3 appetizers and a dessert for $43 plus gave a $5 tip the breading on the fried zucchini just fell off and was a very soft breading, the churros weren’t cooked long enough, raw and just not edible
