I was visiting Eureka and felt like getting a good sandwich so I looked up places and found Pile High. This little sandwich shop was great, staff was super friendly, they had lots of good sandwiches to choose from and a lot of drink choices too. I ask them for a recommendation and they made me a great tasting Pastrami on Rye, loaded with meat and delicious-ness. If you’re in the area check out this place!
Really friendly employees, nice clean sandwich shop.No seating.The sandwiches were good; but, very lacking and overpriced.Brio Bread was atleast 3 days old so quite dry and too much bread for the sandwich. Given the business name you would think you're getting a fat sandwich but this is quite far from reality. The sandwiches completely lacked bread/veggie/meat balance and frankly barely had meat on them. If you got triple or quadruple meat... that would be piling it high!
Make sure you're hungry because good gosh these sandwiches are big. Maybe I just have a tiny baby belly though.Great spreads and they work real fast.
Wow! What a sandwich! My wife got the Italian club sandwich why I was delicious! I got the hot pastrami that was soo good! It’s a huge sandwich so you will have extra!

Local Humboldt resident here. This is THE best place to get a sandwich in all of Humboldt County. I was born and raised here and moved out of state 4 years ago, but everytime I visit town I go back for not one, but two sandwiches! (One to eat now and one to take home with me.) I haven't found anything even closely resembling Hole in the Wall in the years I've lived out of state. This is a must-see, must-eat location. Thank you John for running the best sandwich spot for several hundreds of miles. Best of the west coast!Pro tip: order the hot pastrami. You'll thank me later.

Best sandwich shop in CA OR and WA
The food is good. Not much on the bread, the man behind the count was very aggressive , pushing me to order faster, shying while I look at the order bored. Very uncomfortable and we as a buisness will not be ordering from this spot anytime soon. I am not one to post dubious words. But the customer service was very pushy and rude. Thank you . Oh but if you can handle being treated badly the food was good, lots of bread so get extra meat if you are looking for a good sandwich ?
