My favorite restaurant to eat at in eureka! Quality food without needing to travel far! I eat here weekly Ambiances great, staff is fantastic, food is even better, I recommend this restaurant to everyone! If you have not been it’s a must try in Humboldt County. I did by say that ever either!
Impressed by the quality of all 6 dishes we tried and also the cocktails were amazing too! Super interesting flavors/pairings. Was very happy with everything we tried on the menu, and the wait staff was amazing. Highly recommended!! Can’t wait to come back here!
The lounge and ballroom where the bar is located are beautiful, with lots of seating to choose from. The menu is mostly small plates but they feature 2 dinner items each night. I had a grilled cheese sandwich that came with red pepper bisque and it was okay. My husband had the flatbread and it was tasty, but very thin, and not too filling. Dessert was an apple tart, very bland. We waited over 35 minutes for our cocktails to be served and the place wasn't that busy. There are better choices around the hotel.
Amazing decor, perfect cocktails, great service! Giving them 5 stars because not even a negative thing can knock them down. But FYI, we got there at 9 and they were no longer serving food. It worked out fine - we ate somewhere else quickly and then came back to try their super unique cocktails and had a great experience!
Stopped here for a cocktail! We are staying in the area for a few days and read that this is a place to go, so we made a point to stop. Inside, it's beautiful and I love the décor! It is inside a hotel or Inn, but the décor is throughout, even in the lobby. The drinks were 100% on par and delicious! Because we already had dinner plans, we skipped food, but the menu was to die for! I hope while we are in town I will get to go back to try food items. Saw plates being delivered to other tables, and honestly I can't wait to try a few items. If you're in the area, stop. You won't be disappointed!
We went to the restaurant in the Inn because we were staying there and frankly didn't feel safe walking around the area after dark. The police had already been to the Mission across the street twice while we were in our room so we went downstairs hoping for the best. The service was fantastic, we were seated right away and our drink orders were quick to come to the table. Our charcuterie plater was nice and the cheeses were cut when we ordered, not done ahead of time, so they were fresh. Our meals were excellent but the very best part was the Matcha-Jasmine Creme Brulee, such a unique combination, we really did try to savor it, but it was just so good we ate it rather quickly. If we had stayed another night we would have ordered it again for sure. The only reason this isn't a five-star was the "show" we got with dinner; the police came for a 3rd time that evening to talk to the guy who was clearly on something and trying to fly with his arms out twirling around. I'm not sure I would want to eat outside around evening.
As a part of the Inn at 2nd and C it is remarkable because one part of the restaurant's seating area is in the historic ballroom of the inn. Food was delicious: Humboldt Bay Oysters - yummi! Catch of the day was halibutt, we had eaten halibutt frequently before, but this was not only top quality, but the seasoning was awesome and best we ever had. Drinks were fine, also price was ok. Service was very friendly.
One thing you notice after being there is that there are not enough stars on on Google. This place deserves 6 stars. Phenomenal venue, superfriendly staff and seriously great food. Everything at this place, even the bathrooms, strives to be a piece of art.
Excellent drinks and small plate dining. Fun atmosphere and excellent service. We will definitely return.
We chose Phatsy Kline's Parlor Lounge for a celebratory dinner after our daughter's orientation at Cal Poly Humboldt. When we walked into the bar area, we were immediately struck by the authentic ambience and attention to detail. Our hostess asked of we wanted to dine in the bar area or in the ballroom and I gasped- "Did you say ballroom?!" There was a gentleman playing guitar crooning lovely melodies and artwork displayed and available for purchase by local artists. The service was impeccable and the culinary offerings were to die for. And all at a reasonable price! Just a side note- don't be swayed by the sketchy looking area. There is a rescue mission across the street that provides shelter each night to assist those who are less fortunate. It is a shining tribute to how this community takes care of everyone in their midst. What a lovely place.
