My mother and I are new to the area and waiting for our move-in date. The staff at Red Lion has been more than hospitable. Robert and Dawn saw to it that we were put into a comfortable room (not just for our sakes, but the dogs as well). When they say dog friendly they mean- dogs aren’t just tolerated, they’re appreciated. Overall: excellent service and accommodations with a staff to match.

We stayed at the Red Lion for 2 nights and had a great experience! Dawn and Nathan at the front desk were awesome and did a great job helping us and answering all our questions. Would definitely stay here again and recommended to others.

Heat and AC come from a wall unit. Two sinks in the bathroom is a plus. Our hiking group had a private room for dining and meetings. Dinner meals were varied and well prepared. Breakfast was the same each day with few options. Outdoor poll was not usable. Restaurants and downtown Eureka nearby and walkable. There are three floors and an elevator. Eureka's homeless population is nearby.

We recently had a big convention, at the Red Lion Hotel. The staff was amazing. Charles Slaughter, who worked the front desk, helped us load and unload our things for the convention, made sure and checked in on us all the time, to make sure everything was going great. The caterer worked her tail off, served our meals, and was there at breakfast through tending bar for our evening meals . We don't think she ever left the hotel. Elizabeth ran her tail off, as well, helping with the catering, our decorating, making sure guest rooms were all okay, and all. They were amazing to work with.

This is a hotel to avoid! Three rooms were reserved. Two rooms had broken light fixtures and pealing wall paper. One room had mold in the bathroom. Two rooms had loud faulty heaters. The night staff was rude and argumentative when addressing these issues.

During our visit we had a situation and the staff was very professional. Giving appreciation to Charles, thank you. Dawn and Kyle were in the evening shift, they provided good customer services.????

We stayed at this hotel because we were attending an AmHydro seminar and this was booked for us through the company. Otherwise, this would not have been our choice. Old hotel. Accommodations were clean but there was no heat in any of the common spaces of the hotel. IT WAS SO COLD. When we came into our rooms the first night, it might have been 40 degrees in there. The heat unit on the wall worked but even though we ran it on high, our room did not warm up until about 4 a.m. We had to sleep in our clothes and socks for warmth. It was aggravating. Weather was very cold at night and units should have been turned on prior to guest arrival. Restaurant food was acceptable but it was freezing in the restaurant. Hard to enjoy your meal when you’re wearing a coat. Almost every employee we saw was wearing a coat and hat during our entire stay. I questioned a couple of the staff about heat but their reply was that they didn’t know why there was no heat on. Bathroom sink slow to drain and toilet slow to flush. Many, many homeless around the hotel and around the town in general.

My wife and I spent a week there after an unexpected family loss. Charles and Tim hooked us up and showed compassion way beyond their jobs. Charles checked in with us every time we came in and was a genuinely good human being in our time of stress. The hotel was quiet and safe in a town that has some issues. I highly recommend staying there

I'm doing a road trip with one of my kids and we booked this room about 15 minutes outside the city. When I checked in Charles at the front desk was a super nice and friendly guy and we went into conversations about our kids. Room was large and comfortable and some very interesting black soap which must be locally made. When we went out to eat Charles and another gentleman gave some tips on where to eat. Later when we came back from eating he was chatty with my teen and just an all around nice guy. Over all nice place and honestly I'd stay there again just to shoot the S with Charles. Oh my.. just as I was about to submit this I look over on the side and I see many other folks had a great interaction with this guy. I hope the hotel notices him....

Although not many options in Eureka, this place needs some TLC with facilities. Employees great with COVID protocols, information and demeanor but rooms are very dated with wallpaper hanging off the walls. WiFi good, location good but price vs value way out of line.
