Old Town Coffee and Chocolates.Small selection of chocolates, less than enthusiastic personnel. Nothing wrong with the chocolates. The coffee shop itself felt hectic. Not a place I would go for a relaxed cup of coffee. It’s not that it was busy, it just didn’t feel relaxing to me or my companion. To be fair, that could have just been us. They have outdoor seating at the F St. location.
I use to come here a lot in the past and had more care about who they let in. It would be a 4 but my latest visit dropped it. Recent visit had 2 people (whom both have been frequently seen upon my visits) fighting and yelling and no staff to calm or remove the situation. Other guests felt uncomfortable and left in a hurry leaving a negative atmosphere. I get it's Humboldt but there is such a thing called customer care.Aside from that, coffee tastes great and the sweets and food they have is pretty good. All in all, probably best to grab and go or play it safe.
The guy who waited on us set our chocolates directly in the dirty counter, not even in a bag. Not to mention he was touching all of the chocolates to find the one I was asking for. (Hello signage) During times when health and COVID is an issue, this is a horrible practice. Avoid them and stay healthy
Lovely spot to hang with a friend over a cup off coffee and a truffle. They have some light food also.
Huge kudos to Crystal the Caker at Old Town Coffee and Chocolates in Henderson Center. We asked for a gluten-free pink champagne cake with a unicorn and glitter theme and she delivered this amazing creation! It was beautiful, delicious, and you wouldn’t know it was gluten free if we didn’t tell you! Wowza!!! ???????
The coffee always has a good kick the staff was chill and the artwork on the walls was interesting to look at. The place was festive during December. I'd go here again to just chill or have a date.
Absolutely amazing cake. I'm not a cake person. My Bonus Mom raves about this place. While at dinner, at my parents, they brought out this cake. Let me tell you: this is a cake that would solve your family problems! Have cranky relatives? Give em cake. Have a moody teenager? Give em cake. Have a bummed hubby? Give him cake. Have a tense get together? Give them all cake. THIS CAKE!!! BY GAWD! Delicious!
This place is great, they always have fun drinks that are worth the price, the staff is always on top of it even in a rush and are very friendly. Everything I have tried from them has been great
Nice cozy welcoming relaxed place with nice staff. Good breakfast burrito. Latte and cappuccino were not bad, better than many, but also not great (I am picky and particular).
One of my favorite places to go. Great food and great people.
