I was surprised to find a live baby slug cruising around in my salad, and the slug was probably just as surprised to find itself covered in Caesar dressing. However, that is not the reason for this negative review. After politely informing the staff of the situation, my plate was quickly whisked away. I was obviously expecting, at minimum, an apology and a free salad, but I received neither. What I did receive was a bill for the full price of everything we ordered, which is absurd. I’ll file this experience under, “how not to run a business.”
Very well prepared and wonderful combination of flavors. Sides and drinks reasonably priced. Service excellent. The raspberry crem brule is a must try.
My husband and I wanted to have a nice relaxing dinner on Friday evening and showed up at 511 around 6:15pm last week. We did not have reservations but apparently there was an expectation that there would be a lot of customers later because the hostess was somewhat rude about seating us and not sure what to do with me because I was in a scooter. I had suggested seating us out of the way so that my scooter wouldn't block traffic and asked for a table in the front corner. Apparently someone had called and asked to reserve that spot, so the hostess' alternative was to put us by the kitchen and bathroom entry way - the worst table in the restaurant where you are listening to the kitchen barking out orders, the lighting is harsh and everyone and their brother is brushing past you to use the toilet. The sad thing is, the food was good and our waitress was nice. I just felt shoved in a corner because I was inconvenient. My husband was offended on my behalf and our dinner was the opposite of relaxing. Thanks 511. Perhaps training your host staff to make customers with disabilities feel more welcome rather than burdensome would allow the experience of the great food to be the takeaway.
Always a good spot. They need to rotate their menu though....been a while.
Five Eleven has consistently good food. Their menu has a few staples you'd expect, Steak, Pork, Burger, with some unexpected twists, pork belly with egg, "bacon and eggs." They have a full bar with some fun drinks, and some top shelf alcohol available. Happy hour (5 to 6) has an additional limited menu with some good bar food and cheap drinks!

Our new favorite date night restaurant! Really good happy hour specials and the lasagna is sooo tasty!
The wait staff was very attentive, but the food was sub-par my meal was 5 min late to the table. being the only thing close to a veg entree lasagna it was loaded with ricotta cheese very little veggies the pasta not prepared properly seemed a poor attempt, the bolognese looked like fancy SpaghettiOs taste was ok presentation was lack luster. My Caesar salad had little flavor. The steelhead was good the brussel sprouts were bland for being roasted could have used some balsamic drizzle over them. For a restaurant of this caliber the managers should sit down and eat everything on the menu and if this is what they consider okay they should be fired
Wife and I came here on one of our nights in Eureka. I had the Ribeye, cooked perfectly and all the vegetables were perfect with it. Flavor was on point and perfectly seasoned. Appetizer special was the Buratta with grilled sourdough and peaches with a vinaigrette. Really really delicious and was hard to stop eating to save room for entrees. House salad vinaigrette was very delicious as well. Our server was Trevor, I believe he was the bartender as well, was very knowledgeable and gave us awesome recommendations on wine and food. And the teamwork was awesome as well, everyone really seemed to work as a cohesive unit and as someone who works in restaurants it’s always an awesome thing to see. My wife had the steelhead, good sized portion and perfectly cooked. The sides that came with the salmon were perfectly curated and went wonderfully with the fish. All in all, fantastic.
