Great food, made fresh behind the counter. I was recommended the burrito mojado by the server and it did not disappoint. My wife had the torta Oaxaqueña and it was delicious! Good service, kind and friendly staff. Recommended.
We went for breakfast and enjoyed the most delicious, fresh and tasty dishes. I had the satisfying Memelitas Oaxaquenos. Usually American Mexican food is heavy, especially the beans and tortillas. Here they were light as well as delicious --and homemade. The light, not too sweet, and perfectly spiced Mexican mocha truly tasted like something you'd find in a fancy establishment. It also came in a super sized mug, which my partner loved. The owners are kind and attentive. I'd be there every day if I lived locally.

Cocina Oaxaquena is one of my favorite places to enjoy my favorite meal. This husband and wife team work incredibly hard, and provide some of the freshest, most delicious Mexican food in Humboldt County. The chilaquiles verdes are not to be missed! Please support this local business! I want to see them thrive!

I just had the best Mexican breakfast ever. They also have super bomb coffee and espresso drinks. Come try this place, you won’t regret it.
We were headed to another place for breakfast and it was way too busy so we decided to take a chance. As mexi food lovers were pleasantly surprised at the chill atmosphere and excellent food. Fresh, fast and filling. Definitely recommend this place, we had breakfast but can’t wait to go back for lunch and dinner!
