I am always looking for bun rieu and bun Bo hue and I was in the area so I googled “Vietnamese food” and this popped up. I was very intrigued with the photos I saw so I stopped by. I was already in love when I walked in and saw the already made food that was there!I am so used to Seattle where the Vietnamese deli was so dominant and I miss it! So this place reminded me of Seattle. They had spring rolls, banh cuon, egg rolls, banh Bao and so many other stuff that you can grab and go!They have a huge selection of Vietnamese sandwiches (banh mi) along with so many soups! Bun rieu and bun Bo hue is definitely one of those that is not on the common menu so I was very impressed when I saw it! I was even more impressed when they had all the authentic stuff inside of it! Including the blood cubes!!! I loved it!There is a couple tables in there that you can sit and enjoy your food too! I am going to keep coming back and trying more of their food! I can’t wait to try the banh xeo!!!
I've been wanting to try this place for a long time but I honestly don't think I'll be back.. I went in wanting to try their Banh Xeo. Which is also known as a Korean pancake. So I walk in and place my order and the boy says "we don't have it" .. first I am very shocked because it's really just flour and water with seasonings cooked as a thin pancake to a crisp.. they could've made it.. it just seemed like they didn't want to.. I could be wrong but that was the impression I got.. So I asked for a second because I am already there so might as well figure something else out on the menu to eat right? I ended up ordering a pork belly banh mi and a Thai tea. The sandwich was good but I've had good banh mis at Vietnamese restaurants before so it didn't really win me over. The pickled daikon radishes were cut super thick but I guess that's how they do it here. The Thai tea was just okay, a little artificial tasting. Everything was just good not great.
Paid for extra side did not get. Cashier didn’t even care. Bad service. Dirty tables. No glass water. But prices good. Will not go back anyway. Many others to choose from. NO BATHROOMS.
Great quality baguettes, big veggies, hearty meats! Awesome banh mi! Way better than many banh mi shops.
The only place I can find an avocado boba smoothie ^_^ their spring rolls are fresh delicious and the food comes quickly
Okay so, we haven't been back in ages because my fiance got a tiny snail in his egg roll lettuce a long time ago?? but seriously the food is delicious, the snail was alive btw and I explained to my fiance that if it was dead that would have been more concerning. Well I'm more happy to eat here again, heck they eat escargot in France and crickets in the Philippines and grasshoppers in Mexicoso, so whatever, i guess they could be more careful when washing the lettuce but I never penalize a place for a one time bug occurrence especially when it's not a roach ? fantastic bbq sandwiches, and nothing I've had here didn't taste delicious. Keep up the good work, just make sure to remove the extra protein when you see my fiance ??❤
sorely disappointed after reading raving reviews about this being the best banh mi in northern san diego.order: 2 veggie banh mi's + tofu spring rollsfor the banh mipros:- affordable price relative to other lunch spots in the area- ok amount of picklescons:- actually still rather pricey for a banh mi- tastes like store bought bread vs fresh made- didn't taste much of the vietnamese mayo on there- pickles were flavorless, which is normally the best part- charges $0.50 for extra pickles (most places just give you extra)for the spring rolls:pro:- peanut sauce was okcons:- it was literally all noodles, a piece of lettuce, a piece of tofu, wrapped in a rice paper. it came with 2 rolls which cost almost the same as the banh mi.
Hidden gem of Vietnamese food in Escondido. Great bahnmi and awesome boba smoothies. Added convenience of a asian grocery store next door.
Buy 4 banh mi sandwiches, get 1 free! Great deal! We loved the special #1, #4!pork belly, #7 bbq pork and #11 bbq chicken. Bread was nice and crispy outside, soft inside and yumminess of our selections. Definitely would go back! Definitely would recommend! Loved that it’s inside Asian Market with fresh and dry goods groceries.
My new favorite sandwich shop around! Fantastic food and great prices. Usually get a snack or two from the market it's in.
