Took my Mom for Breakfast on a Saturday morning. The place was hopping but we timed it right and were seated Immediately. Despite the crowd our server was on it. Friendly and attentive. The food took a while but that was to be expected. Food was great. They cooked the eggs over-medium which seems to be a challenge at some places, home fries and hush puppies were tasty. The Owner was so Nice. The only downside side is lack of Handicapped parking. That may be an issue for some..
Was out for an afternoon ride on my motorcycle with a friend, when he let me know that he needed to get something to eat before he became hangry. Along the route was Smokey's Lake Wohlford Cafe, so we decided to get something to eat there. We arrived at 3:15 PM and found out that they closed at 2:00. As we headed back to our bikes so that we could go somewhere else, we were approached by the owner, Mary, with a smile and an abundance of kindness. She asked what it was we came for, and when we told her we were just looking for a place to get some food, she took our order and made us what we wanted even though they had been closed for over an hour. We thought that was about the best customer service that could be found anywhere, but she outdid herself by making the best fries and roast beef w/au jus sandwiches we've ever eaten. And Mary, along with her husband Andy, both sat alongside us and were just lovely people to talk with. They made us feel right at home, like we were old friends.I'm so happy that we stopped and gave this place a try. It's been the best dining experience I've had, and I've eaten at a lot of fine dining restaurants. I will definitely be making it a point to eat here every time I ride by. I'll also try to get there a while before they close out of consideration for the employees whom I'm sure want to get off work as scheduled. I can't recommend Smokey's Lake Wohlford Cafe enough.
Food and service are great! Their food is wonderful especially if you like Fried Catfish. Some of the best tasting Catfish I've had in years. Clean tasting, crunchy cornmeal coating and not greasy at all. A must stop!

I came here after my sons soccer game . The staff is so friendly . The food is amazing . So delicious. The corned beef hash and the fish and chips cat fish is beyond delicious . I will come back again for their all you can eat fish and chips . The owner Mary has done an amazing job and I will come back because of her and of course her super cool husband . She may be the brains but Andy is one hell of a guy . Family diner 100%

Do not pass up the opportunity if you are near , friendly atmosphere ,and excellent food. The BEST Rubin Ever !!! By the way I am a Rubin connoisseur..
