Had a great time here with mom. Staff were very friendly and even told us about the senior discount and was even told then could make the pizza of my choice for the lunch buffet. Food was good. Definitely was a good stop on my way back to LA
Accessibility: there are 2 handicap parking spots directly in front of the entrance to this place and ramps to get to the front door. There are two small benches to sit at right outside the front doors, and the doors are pull to enter. Once inside it is all smoothe, flat ground, and wheelchair accessible restrooms. The seating is wheelchair accessible with tons of tables and moveable chairs.Experience: the employees were helpful with answering questions but definitely didn't seem to enjoy being there...lol understandable though because working in a restaurant usually sucks. The pizza was just okay in my opinion and my girlfriend's, but we both absolutely loved their brownies! The brownies were warm and delicious with a perfect amount of chewy. I think I would only come back for the brownies.
This is a fun place I recommend going here often,the food is awesome and it's a good place to hang out with friends,family and kids.
This was a lovely experience. The pizza is good, I liked the happy hour deals, and the cashier was really sweet. As a local resident, I appreciate when the employees care about their customers. EDIT: And I don't mind the music like one or two other people say! It's fine! :)
This is purely an management issue. We came during the busiest time 1:50pm on Saturday. The team with Angela and Breona at the helm, were making it work. Guessing about 80% percent capacity and saw nothing but happy faces. One lady complained to Erik, " it's been over an hour since we ordered," when my party came in before her and they got there food before us and we waited 35 min. She straight up lied and got a refund. After which another person in the same party saw that they got a refund and a male sent his wife to complain and she got a refund as well. I over heard them snickering that they got more than $100 refunded, off the discount menu. I wrote it off as manager discretion but when he told another person that it's just a busy time and had to wait, we realized the difference. If your white you get refunded, if you have color your told to wait. Never felt so uncomfortable while having a meal, and I have had a meal in the Iraqi desert.
Haven't had Shakey's for a long time had the Shakey's special it was very good.
I've got to tell you I don't review many chain restaurants but I sort of really wanted to go to Shakeys since I grew up in Connecticut and they closed all the Shakeys because of a mass shooting Totally Clean! This manager has his restaurant spic and span...can I still say that? Bathrooms too!!! Service was over the top friendly. I asked the young lady behind the counter for a special condiment. She told the manager and he ventured to please me. The fried chicken was perfect and I had ordered something I never heard of called Mojos and they were phenomenal! I realize this is a children's restaurant but they did their best to keep the play room quiet and removed from the dining room. Go there everyone!!
We were really looking forward to visiting Shakey's while in California, as we used to have them in our home state but they've all closed. We were not disappointed, it was just as delicious as we remembered it to be! We enjoyed the lunch buffet, and were happy with the quality and taste of the food, as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant. Just wish we could have brought it all home with us.
The pizza tastes somewhere between "pretty good" and "just adequate." Nothing special. My preference would be Killer Pizza From Mars in Escondido, or Papa Johns. But it does have a fun in space / environment, and some arcade games.Probably a great spot for birthday parties. Prices were high but not excessive. We'll likely be back when are kids are old enough to enjoy the arcade games.
Friendly Service, foods are just a lil bit oily but it’s all good.. plenty parking and convenient form of payment. Place is clean and organize. Just hope there’s more seat at the game room.
