This location has the absolute WORST service every single time we go! The food is good and it’s the only location near me, which is why I continue to go. But every time they mess up on orders, forget to give condiments, or the worst - when going through the drive thru, they send us out front when food isn’t ready (which is fine) but then they forget about us! Multiple times I have had to wait over 25 minutes! Good thing I wasn’t on a 30 minute lunch break! Also, keep in mind that this location is rarely packed. It does not matter what time of day or the crowd level. These same issues ALWAYS occur. I go through the drive thru to avoid getting out of the car, but when they send you out front, it’s a guarantee that you’ll be getting out of the car after waiting over 20 minutes. This location needs training if they want to remain operational.
This is ridiculous, everytime I order from drive through they're always forgetting to add some items. They need to hire new people that really pay attention when bagging food. It really isn't that hard. I've worked at a fast food restaurant for 5 years so I know it isn't hard. I always ordered from drive through, and today no cars behind and just one car ahead of me. I ordered a 5 piece tender and only gave me 3 and they also forgot to add my mashed potatoes. Last time that I ordered they forgot to add apple juice and apple sauce for my sons kids meal. It's always something everytime. And I hate parking after and going inside to get what they forgot to add in my bag. Today I didn't check and realized until I got home that they messed up again. Now I've been calling them but they don't answer. Phone just keeps ringing and won't even go to voice-mail.
Totally forgot to take a before pic but if you can't tell how good the chicken thighs were from the picked clean bones, I don't know what to tell ya. Lol. So staff was very polite, ordered quick, food arrived quick, tables were clean, bathroom was clean, floors were clean. Not very busy for the lunch rush. Atleast not inside. The drive thru looked plenty busy though. So 5 stars. Very good.
I’ve been coming to this Popeyes since it opened and let me just say; majority of the time the drive through person is very friendly. Tonight though was a entirely different story. The girl who took my order and who was also at the window was extremely rude!! I went to order the 14 piece family meal and she proceeded to tell me, they don’t have that. I said it’s on the website am I mistaken and then she barked out, you need to redeem the code and give me the numbers. I read the numbers off to her.Once I got to the window she took my card and I asked for hot sauce. She gave me my order and I said thank you and she didn’t say anything. I get home and no hot sauce, no butter and no honey.I get that you’re busy, but if you don’t like working there- get another job; their are TONS to choose from. Popeyes won’t get another dime from me.
Forget 2 of my sides ,the2 i got were coldI also ordered spicy chicken we got regularBiscuits no butter or honey plain and dryI will never buy food there again

The place was dead, but we could barely make an order, cashier rolled her eyes when asked about sweet tea. Toxic attitudes! If zero stars was an option, this place would get zero starts!
I don't know why this Popeye's has been the worst experience I always have, the ones in Tri-City and Miramar are A++, but this Escondido setup always messes up my orders,Usually forgetting sauces, or throwing random ones in that I didn't ask for, or just literally tossing food in the bag and going,This time I got a bag with a sandwich and fries but they just poured the fries in the main bag, I simply don't understand because they weren't that busy at all.

It is tuesday 26th 6:45 pm i came to popeyes went thur drive thur lady that took our order was rude as hell after getting our food and drinks she forgot to give us straws so i asked her for some she acted like she didn't hear us after about waitting 2 mins she came back to window asked again she rolled her eyes and rudely gave me straws.. I have only been to this one 3 times and never again will i go back to popeyes in Escondido. you guys have very rude ppl working at this popeyes you lost a great popeye customers
