Me and my family only order from here when we want NY style pizza. The food is great and the owner is SUPER friendly. We only get the best service when we come here to pick up our pizza.
I saw reviews and posts for this pizza place on social media and thought I would give it a try for a slice. I got a pepperoni slice and my wife got a pepperoni mushroom slice. The slices are huge; maybe a tad too big. The crust was bready and sweet. It did not taste like a NY pizza crust, which should be crispy on the outside with a chewy interior. The crust had a store-bought pizza crust taste. And for me that's a big disappointment. The sauce was too sweet. And the cheese quality had a plastic-like consistency and bland flavor. The pepperoni was okay though. And they did use fresh mushrooms. I have had NY pizza many times. Sadly, pizza at Pizza Amore doesn't come close enough to the real thing.
Great pizza, great pasta, great service. GREAT price. Everyone should get a giant pizza from Pizza Amore!
The owners of Pizza Amore are amazing! They came in on their day off to make pizzas for our team dinner. We easily fed 42 starving teenage boys who left stuffed and happy! The pizza is great and we love their new location. We definitely will use them again.
Great pizza and very good price. They have a very large size(28 inches Giant Pizza) very convenient location with a lot of parking since they moved from Escondido Boulevard. I will be back. The is the closest to authentic New York Pizza you can get around here. I wish there is more space to eat (dine In)
Honestly, I say it is the best pizza in Esco. I personally like everything, crust, sauce (not to heavy) great crisp non "bready" crust. Good prices. (Everything, Everwhere has gone up since Covid.) So it is all relative. Owner is great, hard working and I believe just loves working. The pizza reminds me of Bruno's that was in San Marcos not too much sauce, thin but not too thin crust. We usually get the big 28" @ work for the guys and share amongst 5-6 & always have some left. Try them out, I bet you'll like it.
They moved locations and increased price, but still have the great taste of pizza.
Food is great! Employees are nice too, best pizza in town but they lack professionalism. Too many missed or late orders. They get 0 stars for service. 5 stars for food. Combining to 3.
Tasty pizza. Every time I've had it it's been really delicious. Good crust, good sauce and flavors. Everytime I've gone in it looks like its just the elderly husband and wife (who I believe are the owners) working. I like to help keep mom and pop types in business. I understand times are hard, but they could give more ranch and parmesan to keep customers coming back.
Best pizza in Escondido. Customer service by owners, pizza New York style is the best, Marlene and Monier are simply the number ones !!
