Very disappointing for the price, bad value at mid day. Stuffed grape leaves dolmas were terrible with burnt Spanish style rice. Soggy, small, gyro sandwiches. The location is great, but go elsewhere. It has gone downhill from its early days. Manager probably not interested in feedback; no courage to complain in person, he looks not interested. Time to move on, Escondido, we need better restaurants. Buyer beware.
Bomb.I was a little scarred to go inside due to the ratings about the owner being super rude ... but the guy that took my order was super nice and understood what I wad trying to pronounce some of the food on the menu ? I'm so full i had an order of Falafel Balls . They were soo fresh!
So this place was great. Initially I was going to Jilbertos mexican next door since that is where my coworker was going but then I saw Paradiso medditeranien grill and I just had to try them out and I wasn't disappointed. The man behind the counter who looked like the manager was wearing a smile which is very important to me.. its called customer service.. almost like a smile can make the food taste better.. any way very friendly, took my order right away, he was knowledgable about the menu, gave me several side options. But in the end I just had to try the Lamb Gyro on a pita bread with extra ziti sauce and seasoned frys and a dr pepper. Pretty much my go to item that I just absolutely have to try anytime I try a new medditeranien restaurant. The Gyro was very good and I absolutely love the ziti sauce especially to dip my frys in.. My food arrived in about 7 min which was great cuz originally he said it would be about ten min.. but I while I waited I checked out the bathroom and washed my hands, very clean, floors were clean, tables were clean. In fact the whole restaurant was very inviting. Unfortunetly I wasn't able to dine in cuz my coworker still ended up going to the restaurant next door so I actually ate with him there but I really would have preferred to eat my food at Paradiso but I still took pictures of the restaurant inside and out buy the food pictures were taken while sitting next door. HOPE THIS HELPS YALL.On a side note, one recommendation for the restaurant would be to ither change how they distribute there straws to the customer because the straws are not wrapped and just anyone can touch all the straws with there dirty ands just trying to get one. So with the covid we can never be to carefull. Thanks. 5 stars.
Food is fresh & delicious. This is definitely a place to occasionally treat yourself, some menu items are pricey. Overall good quality cuisine. Hardworking, friendly & attentive staff.
Food is always excellent. Never have had s bad experience there. Friendly staff to top thing off. Highly recommend eating there.

Excellent , tender Gyros meat salad with fresh ingredients, hot and soft pita bread and great geek dressing. Go here!

This place is the biggest ripoff I've ever seen!!! I do well financially so it's not like I'm scraping money together to eat. But this place is easily over double what you'd pay elsewhere. I've never seen prices this high even with exclusive and exquisite downtown or La Jolla locations with 5 star service where they wait on you hand and foot. I asked about a picture on the wall and its $35.00. I asked how many ppl does it serve?! Just 1. I wanted to add on a small piece of spanikopita with my meal. It was $12.00! That's like a 2 inch by 3 inch bite right there. I'm completely offended they have the audacity to demand these prices for mediocre food at a hole in the wall filthy location! Save your money and go dine right on the ocean for less!!! Disgrace!
I ordered the avgolemono soup. Very disappointing! I could have made better at home unfortunately. The egg was not whisked in properly which led to the soup being more of a scrambled egg soup, rather than the authentic avgolemono soup I was craving! I'd give it another shot if they learned how to execute it properly ? but for now, I'll be looking elsewhere for authentic Mediterranean food!
