Best small roaster I've encountered in San Diego, with exceptional beans. Great people with a great product.
Great spot for third wave / specialty coffee. We had two pourovers, a Brazilian and a Kenyan, both were tasty. I bought a bag of the Kenyan Peaberry ($22) to take home. One of the few places around that have a Geisha available. This place is on the corner, and they had large doors opened on both sides of the shop, creating an airy and open space. This was a pleasant environment, and it certainly felt nicer than the anti-mask establishment up the street, The Koffie.
I normally go to Starbucks for coffee and espresso, but I had heard about this place and wanted to try it- and since it was close to where I was working I decided to stop by. I paid $3 for a small coffee and it was terrible. I believe the Barista called it El Gaucho (which it was). I added plenty of cream and sugar but it was still very bitter and I was unable to drink much of it. It taste like burnt cocoa bean and black licorice fused into the coffee. I like coffee a lot.I drink it everyday. I grind my own beans at home every day, before I brew. I know a little bit about coffee. If you're going to have drip for the general public it should be well-rounded so that anybody can drink it, not just a connoisseur... I gave two stars because everything else about the place seems nice. I really liked the lid on the coffee cup; everyone should use them.
Great tasting coffee reasonably priced. Great vibe! Definitely will come back again
