Bad food in a good resort

My family is member of the welks resort. We thought this restaurant would be as great as the resort. We were mistaken. There was a hair in the food (this was taken off the bill), the burgers were poorly cooked with no seasoning, McDonald’s chicken Patties are better than the Parmesan chicken. The water smelled fishy. And to top it all off the burgers gave the two of us who ordered them food poisoning. NOT PLEASED. And the waiter told us to give them another try and “this time it would be hairless!” Disgusting. Luckily Pizza Hut was next door and we could get some cinnamon and bread sticks.

Went here today for an early dinner with my girlfriend. The food was good. My only complaint would be our server. The way she spoke to my girlfriend made both of us uncomfortable. The server asked my girlfriend if she had enough to eat, which made her feel very insecure about her self image afterwards. That comment also made me feel like she was assuming that I am the type of person who restricts the amount of food my girlfriend eats, like I'm putting my girlfriend through some kind of abusive relationship. Once we got in the car, she looked at me and said that she never wants to go back to this restaurant specifically because of the server's question. I also told my girlfriend that I dont want go back either. Besides that, everyone else on staff did a great job.

Server Rocky was very attentive and helpful. Our dinners were prepared perfectly.

Restaurant was dated, hot and stuffy. Menu and prices looked as if food would be decent but it was not. Paid $24 for Chicken Parmesan that was made from what tasted like cheap frozen, chicken. Chicken parm itself was soggy and marinara was basic. Daughter had popcorn shrimp and fries. Paid $50 for “dinner” - I’ve had better food, experiences and service at Applebees. Save your money or lower your expectations. The ambiance of this resort is nice so the on site restaurant being trash after waiting for it to open all week was disappointing. (It’s closed Mon-Tues)

Good food and very friendly.Especially Janell. The patio has a nice view.Food was delicious and was served very fast.

We stayed at the Welk Resort for a week and made the mistake of having dinner at the Canyon Grille the first night. It was the first and last visit. The food was pretty abysmal and even below “Sysco” packaged dinners. And it was very overpriced for the diner-like meals! The decor is rather a slightly upscale Denny’s aesthetic. Hard pass!

Nice, relaxed, good customer service. Not too many food options but it was good. Nadia was serving us, and if we had another day, we would go there because of her. She was so kind and nice, helpful and understanding. O, and the cream Brule was soooooooo delicious, I barely had a chance to take a picture :) Thank you ?

This was not very good. Two stars because our waitress was kind and my burger was good. The sauce for the chicken parmesan basically just tasted like parsley. No bread was offered for the table, so we tried to buy garlic bread,it was basically just toasted pieces of sandwich bread. They charge more for drinks than the beautiful, upscale Vintana restaurant not too far from there, that was exceptional. Prices did not match the quality. Not many options, definitely wouldn't recommend.

We were here 3 years ago and this restaurant was open everyday for all meals. We had nice breakfasts and evening meals with specials and the prices were great. Happy hours and all. NOW - open half the time and no breakfast, menu scaled back, no specials. Out of beers and other things. Almost like it is ready to close down. New owners maybe??? Too bad as there are very few restaurants out in this area. Over 700 suites out here and no full function restaurant? We had an evening dinner here once during our 3 week stay and nothing special. We chose to go elsewhere for the rest of our meals. Real shame
