I love this course. They've updated their layout as well as their carts. It plays pretty short but the greens are pretty challenging. For the price, there aren't many better places to play golf in San Diego.

Big problem with me here is they do not allow you to pay the single cart rate. Meaning if you come as a solo and are willing to share cart. You still have to pay $25. So if you are solo and can’t walk. Be easy to pay $25 extra. Places like the crossings allow you to split cart fee if you are willing to meet new people. Not here. If you come solo cart is $25 no matter what. So for solo willing to share cart it’s $38 to walk and to ride is $63. I am sorry but this course is not worth that. I can play any JC golf course (minus RB Inn) for cheaper and with cart. Love the course is renovating but bad business model.

I have golfed here many times, and I will continue to. The course has been getting much better and has been well maintained. This 5 stars is for the course, but also Nick. I played and left my Garmin GPS on the cart. In the heat he made the walk down and looked for it personally. He found it and called me back. I already love this course, but the honesty is awesome. A new $150 GPS most people would’ve pocketed. He did not. Much appreciated.

This could be a beautiful course. Weeds in the trap and clover everywhere. Bring a weed eater in your bag and plenty of balls. You will lose them in the fairway.

Driving range is trash, warmup before you go! They give you limited flight balls because its only about a 200 yd range. Dirt patches everywhere on the course, don't expect a nice shot just because you made fairway. very confusing layout, we literally lost the right path at one point and had to backtrack. greens were decent but that's about it. Course was packed, overbooked and backed up from Tee 1 which is odd because when I signed up for a tee about 4 days early there was not a single booking. I couldn't find parking in the actual lot so had to park in a dirt field. I think we paid $57 for weekend rate. DEF NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Worst golf course I've played in so many years. It could be nice but, it has basically been abandoned, weeds everywhere, traps full of them, looks like a ghost town. Club house as well, so dirty, carts have bald tires, ripped seats and are very beaten up

If you like crummy golf courses that make you wait an hour after your originally booked tee time because they ran out of functioning carts, then this is your course. This golf course is inherently not too bad, esp in the winter months when it is a bit greener & cooler than the usual parched-earth, 100+ degree weather that Escondido usually experiences. The green in the winter is almost exclusively weeds which are growing just about everywhere except the greens-- the fairway, sand traps, rough, sometimes in between the gravel on the cart path. There are a lot of spots that are just bare earth or giant scars in the earth from the infrequent but heavy rainstorms that do not occur often enough in this area. Our golf partner summed up the sandtraps with this quote: "i've seen more sand in a bag of concrete." The customer service here was subpar. When we asked what caused the delay we had experienced, the answer we got was "we need more women around here with [desirable appearance]". The answer he should have given us needed to be around improving the number of functioning carts or keeping golfers teeing off on time. Staff must be incredibly hard to find during COVID.Grading the course's land so that the rain and runoff can be channeled productively is something this place desperately needs. In all fairness, it looks like some improvement along these lines is either in progress or is planned, evident by the construction of new tee boxes on the back 9. The course layout has so much potential here but it needs a ton of work or renovation. If there were an HGTV series on golf course renovations, they should use this place as a starting point because the course does offer some incredible views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Interestingly, this is one of the few courses that affords views of both the Transverse and Peninsular Ranges in Southern California from its higher elevations on holes 9, 10, 13, and 14, and surrounding neighborhood homes are a range of conditions from well-kept new construction to mid-century fixer-uppers waiting to be fixed up. The location's proximity to I-15 makes it a reasonable drive from most places in San Diego or Riverside counties. Get on it, Boulder Oaks! In the meantime, we will golf somewhere else that honors tee time reservations.

Really good other then the foursome in front of us who obviously do not know golf etiquette and all 4 of them chased every ball trying to find them in bushes every hole and who hit off the blue tees and shouldn't have.

You keep the ball in play and you will have the round of your life. Amazing fast tricky greens. Play them short and you will have a better chance at the pin.

I hadn’t played here in about 4 years. A lot better experience than I remember. Greens were in great shape. Excellent value for the price.
