Well…this place used to be called Octopus, and it was REALLY GOOD, when that was still the name. I’m not sure if the name changed to Zeppin because of different ownership, but they kept the same decor and the sushi went WAY down hill. The fish was dry and the sauces were very watered down. Understaffed also so they we weren’t allowed to sit by the window and had to sit in the dark…odd.
My wife suggested trying this new place so we went and it was ok. Food was so so and the some of the staff were very good especially the Asian gentleman and the 2 ladies that were there.Problem is the food came out very slow.We actually left because the 2nd round of food took more than 30 minutes. We asked a few times after the long wait and decided to leave.I did want to say the sushi did come sooner but the other dishes were very slow.Price was high for what you get. 90+ for 2 people who didn't get their food. Thanks but no thanks.
AYCE sushi!! The sushis are fresh, other foods are good as well.
Great place for sushi the all you cn eat is a must but its not for the faint of heart, the sushi rolls carpaccios and sashimi are really good great service friendly staff, would have given 5 stars except they seem a bit understaff they have the hostess working as a waiter as well, woould recommend this place
What a horrific experience! Went in to have some a la cart sushi, not all you can eat. Didn't finisheverything, and asked for a to go box. I got ananswer that I would never expect to hear from arespectable restaurant. They told me I have to paydouble the price to take the leftovers home. What??? You've got to be kidding me! Never going back again and will trumpet all over the valley to avoid this place like a plague. Way to kill your business, folks.
Unfortunately won’t be coming here anymore. My fiancé and I have come here three or four times in the past six months and each time has been worse than the last in service and food. The first two times the food was good but service was eh. The last two times were horrible service and the food was worse. Tonight, Thursday night, our waitress started off by not asking us if we wanted drinks and took our paper away without saying anything. We had to stop her and tell her we wanted some drinks. Then after the first round, she didn’t bring us our paper back to order our second round. We waited for 25 minutes for just the paper…then 45 minutes more for an order of nigiri! I got up and told the person at the sushi bar that we had been waiting for an hr and just wanted the check at that point. Only then is when the nigiri finally arrived. We understand being busy because that is in our line of work as well, but whoever is in charge of this restaurant had this waitress waiting tables and hosting at the same time. She never checked in on us during that hour and our waters were never refilled once. Horrible management and at the same time sluggish, unapologetic service from the waitress. Time to find a new sushi spot.
What a find! Recommended by a family member, an all-you-can-eat experience that doesn't leave you having to be taken out in a wheelbarrow. The fish was supremely fresh, and we ordered a lot of different types. They had vegetarian rolls and cooked non-fish options as part of the all-you-can-eat options if some of your party aren't sushi fans. The drinks were a reasonable price, and the house hot sake was tasty. Place was super clean and had nice decor. Was comfortable to be in throughout the experience. Recommended.
Avocado was rotten in 2 dishes. crispy rice was chewy not crispy and so heavy with gross tasting oil. tempura was not crispy at all.
My brother took us here for the first time and I was so impressed with how delicious, fresh and the presentation of our orders are from the buffet. I really like their carpaccio, baked mussels, grilled salmon, fried oysters and different rolls we have ordered. Their food is really good quality and the buffet price is so worth it. Plus the servers were super nice and accommodating. I would definitely be back to this place and recommend to anyone that loves sushi and seafood.
Went for the all you can eat with three friends. Totally reasonable around $32 each (without tax and tip). Variety was insane for all you can eat. Tons of crispy rice options, carpaccio, and plenty of specialty rolls. Great quality overall. They were pretty forgiving on leftovers for all you can eat and undercharged us for them. Super great place and will totally go back once I have room in my stomach!
