This place is INCREDIBLE. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The fish is SO fresh. The light sauces they use are incredibly inventive and delicious. Cannot rate this place highly enough. I’ve been twice now and both time were unforgettable. Trying pasta bar next!!

What a truly extraordinary experience!

Absolutely incredible experience, that I do not have the words for.Very intimate , the chefs are highly skilled in the art of sushi and highly intelligent on the fish and ingredients that go into it.Let me elaborate, they know and understand actually region where they come from in Japan, why there choosen for this this particular season, and the meticulous amount of work they do to prepare them.Is It is pricey yes, it is the best thou, yes.Definitely one of those lifetime experiences. Can’t wait to visit there location in cedar creek Texas .

Don't believe the hype - or do. That will determine on how you will rate your opinion of Sushi|Bar.Intentionally buried inside an old restaurant, SB counts upon its customers need for a trendy, unique dining experience as the reason for justifying the small portions. Good fresh fish and homemade sauces costs money. But I woke up the next morning questioning "was it worth it?"After going through a maze of back rooms and defunct kitchens, you arrive into a cozy, one room, 8-person sushi bar that feels like you've stumbled upon a local gem in Kyoto, Japan. The 17 courses they say you're about to enjoy makes you wonder if you'll be overly stuffed by the end, but the pinky-sized, single portions - though skillfully prepared by three chefs - left me searching for the nearest In-N-Out.In summary, the fish is fresh and delicious, and there are a few fun surprises in store. But paired with drinks and expect to pay upwards of $250 per person for the omekase. I spent $250 for three of us at my favorite sushi place a few days later and we ate like royalty. You get what you pay for, and at Sushi Bar, you pay for the ride, not for the sports car.

Awesome experience! Pricey but well worth it, looking forward to trying the pasta bar.

If you are willing to spend around $200 per person for food you will be treated to one of the best modern sushi experiences of your life. Make reservations well in advance since they only seat 8-10 people per seating. There is a dedicated bartender for the seating so I would recommend the sake and cocktail pairing for an additional $85. Fresh, delicious, unique. Well worth the expense.

I was invited here with 9 others, some family members others friends of the host. I am not a big sushi fan, but I was intrigued. From the parking garage under the building to a kind of strip mall elevator, to knocking on a door on one of the upper floors. When entering there was a small darker bar with some folks sitting there and few small tables also with waiting folks. Ok, not able to put my finger on this yet. Next a host comes out from back door and escorts us thru a dark interior walkway, into a private room that fit us 10 on three sides. The two young chefs were behind the counter slightly raised. Also, there was the drink maestro, and he was exactly that. They made all sorts of announcements about the meal and the titles of the courses and also had a bulletin wood board behind with the names in order. but who can remember all that. at that point this sushi novice was expecting 18 courses, they did not come out like an elaborate meal. They came out with one only piece of a fish tenderly created and crafted, to me it did not matter there name at that point. next let me reflect on the drinks. Clearly this was the premium package all the way. wow e wow, as in my title. What a drink ensemble , each one paired with each morsel of sushi. can I say anymore? Amazing, incredible, fantastic ,what an evening. If you ever have a special person(s) and they enjoy sushi, take them here.

Born and raised a self proclaimed food nerd and sushi obsessive I’m over the moon for Sushi Bar LA. Everything from the doorbell, the surprise seating, the personal care to cater to your preferences and the incredible inventive food make this a Michelin worthy restaurant. The sushi was so incredibly good that I felt tears welling up in my eyes eating it! As we were eating we booked dinner reservations for NYE! The team is amazing. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in LA now. Maybe my favorite restaurant of all time. Bravo!

Easily one of the best sushi experiences I've ever had i would recommend this place to anyone , the chefs are all very passionate and it shows in every bite .I cannot sing the praises enough from the food too the expertly created cocktails everytime is just as good as the last

I have been fortunate enough to have visited the Sushi Bar multiple times now. If you really love Sushi and want to experience a really unique Omakase style sushi dinner you need to book Sushi Bar! Owned/Operated by top chef winner Phillip Franklin Lee (he has cooked for one of my dinners) it's truly a memorable experience. House made ponzu, soy sauce, and other garnishes, real wasabi root ground on shark skin, 17 courses of the most ridiculous bites you can almost imagine. 8 sometimes 10 seats only so if you have a group of Friends you can literally book the entire Sushi bar for your party and really have a night to remember. Make sure to arrive 30 min prior to your reservation to enjoy the complimentary cocktail in the bar prior to your entrance.
