Great food and service! Lots of tasty food ?
Drove up to Swami's in Encinitas today Sunday June 5th to visit Self Realization Fellowship Gardens and have lunch here. Unfortunately, the one in North Park is closed and the one in Hillcrest didn't last very long through covid. I've been eating at Swami's for years and there still is one of La Mesa. Their food is always been consistently good, friendly staff and healthy.
Very disappointing. Have eaten at this location several times in the past - tasty food and good value. Today that all went out the window and I will not be back.An employee (the manager? - white guy with odd facial hair) was spouting extreme right wing political nonsense. A customer nearby politely asked him to tone down the political talk. The guy continued with the right wing idiocy non-stop. He was clearly trying to provoke the customers. The other customer and I returned to the cashier to let her know that we were cancelling our orders. The employee followed us to the cashier and continued to try to provoke a confrontation.I like to support local businesses, so its really a shame to experience this nonsense. The opposite of customer service. I hope the management wiil fix this.
What a fun restaurant with a cool vibe! It feels like a fun hangout spot for all the hottest surfers in California! Staff are all young and energetic. It has got some cool decorations throughout the restaurant. Came on a week day so no wait for us. Huge portion!!!! I ordered an ahi tuna salad and it came with two toasts. The balsamic sauce on top of the tuna was on point. Clam chowder soup was very delicious! The menu was pretty overwhelming. I will definitely come back and try something else.
I typically liked every Swami’s I have visited including this one. The staff is friendly and the food is great. This restaurant’s vibe is great, very closed to the Swami’s Beach. Not sure, if this is why it is called Swami’s. There are great walking trails with the ocean view nearby. Everything was great, only reason 3 stars from my perspective because it has no table service and you have to order and pay first at the register and then find a table to sit. I typically do not know exactly what I have ordered or if I could customized my order a bit or not. I like table service, where you are seated and the waiter/waitress can explain the menu and help in ordering and customizing the order.
They got my food wrong but that's an honest mistake. But I went here with a date and she dashed on me, it happens whatever. But the staff straight up told me I had to leave and they were closing while I waited for her thinking she was still in the bathroom. They were so rude about it. As I walked out they all busted up laughing. I have no doubt they absolutely knew the girl who left and it wasn't the first time this happened. Anyway if you meet a girl named Kathleen and she asks to go here please leave her to pay the bill that would make my day
After ordering, waiting an hour with no sign of food, then being told they didn't have the order, resubmitting an order and waiting a good long time again with no food, talking to an employee who had no idea what the situation was, my son left. Attached is a photo of nothing. Because that's what he got. Nothing. He was looking forward to eating there for the first time. Your reviews show some crazy disconnect regarding covid, so I am not sure why anyone would want to eat there anyway. Can we give a negative rating?
Indian curry soup, multi grain waffle and so many choice of juice, what could be better than a beach side run then enjoy breakfast right after? Life is good ?
A local (and tourist) favorite. Healthy options mixed in with Huevos Rancheros and classic breakfasts. Best drip coffee options I've ever had. Can get a little busy, but worth the wait.
Really yummy breakfasts, lunch, great spot for passing through travellers. You can also cross the road to see the Yogananda Self Realization Temple which is also a hop and a skip from the beach. Good location and friendly staff.
