Great Gorgonzola pair and arugula and sausage pizza
It was my birthday but I couldnât hear anything over the people
Pizzas were quite tasty. However, seated on the covered patio area, the servers were very, very busy, running in and out, table to table constantly with anxious looks on their faces. Didnât make for a comfortable dining environment. Our server, while quite busy, was very pleasant and we upped her tip for maintaining a good level of service in that challenging situation. Also, didnât realize that the patio fronts a busy intersection and in addition, is along train tracks! Frequent revving of cars and motorcycles, along with the occasional rumbling train and whistles, cut substantially into our dining experience. Might try another location sometime, as the food was good. But as it was, we hurried through our meal to be on our was asap.
I chose Leucadia Pizzeria for it’s large covered patio area with an ocean view… it did not disappoint! We had a group of 12 celebrating a graduation. It was the perfect mix of casual dining with a celebratory vibe. Our reservation was for 5:30 which was perfect to take advantage of the happy hour specials. I would definitely recommend this venue.
I went to leucadia pizzeria to celebrate my birthday with friends and family and we had a great time and the food was absolutely delicious.
Before I moved out of state, I used to frequent the Leucadia Pizzeria University City location. Since we were staying in the north coast area, we decided to try out the Encinitas location for lunch. All I can say is, "Wow!" The staff hit it out the ballpark for our foursome. Excellent customer service provided by Leila and Bailey. We all had the pasta lunch specials and were very happy with the quality of the food, as well as the generous lunch portions. And the prices ($10-$12) were more than reasonable. What a gem. We will recommend this location to our friends and family in the area.
I have been going to Leucadia Pizza for years and this is one of the best Italian restaurants in North County. I have tried several of their pastas, pizzas, and sandwiches as well as their appetizers and beverages and I have never been disappointed. They also serve complimentary garlic bread whether you dine in or take out, and the atmosphere is always great. It sits right between casual dining and high-end dining so you'll feel just as comfortable there in dress attire or in shorts and sandals. It's also located in downtown Encinitas so there is a lot to do in the area, and one of the best beaches in San Diego, Moonlight Beach, is right across the street.

Oh my! Our server was alone and totally overwhelmed! Told us she was new too so we really felt for her. But the food was awful! I had the cheese steak hoagie - it was so salty I could barely eat it. And it was loaded with onions that the menu never mentioned. My husband had the pesto tomato pizza and the crust was like a loaf of bread it was so thick. Very disappointing experience!
