I was really craving southern Indian food, was excited to see so many vegetarian options. Ordered Mushroom Masala, Aloo Gobi, Dosa Masala. The dosa was fantastic, filling was flavorful. Masterfully made. But sadly I can't say the same for the rest. The Mushroom masala's gravy was super watery and light red color, which meant the tomato gravy didn't get enough time to thicken. The spices were bland. When I asked for my Aloo Gobi, which the menu says (dry) next to it, I was given the exact same gravy as the Mushroom masala just with potatoes and cauliflower instead. I asked the women at the register about it and she told me I was wrong.I get it, staffing is hard right now. But there just seems to be a training issue, specially since the kitchen and front clerk both gave me the wrong item.
Delicious and fresh! We had the alu gobi and navrataan korma. The naan was so doughy and tasty. Decor is stylish and there's bollywood on tv.
Ordered gobi manchurian and received cooked gobi with ketchup and oil; bhaingan bharta was very so-so. Mango lassi was quite ok. Garlic naan was decent while hot and became rubbery after some time.
We tried kc tandor yesterday for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, and customer forward service. Happy, the new owner, personally greeted us and then came back to ensure that we were satisfied with the experience. It’s good to have high quality options available in Encinitas.
Have been coming here since I was a kid, always the most delicious food and service. Came to get dinner only to realize they had changed management recently. Decided to give it a try even though the prices had almost doubled and meals no longer came with sides, they used to come with Dahl rice and yogurt. The worst palak paneer I’ve ever had, 40 dollars for an awful meal. Never coming back.
This place need indian chef. A maxican guy making food he doesn’t know about Indian food taste Oreo spicer we requeste to the owner pls change chef.people wasting money.thanks.
Love KC Tandoors. Have been coming for many years and am always happy with the freshness and quality. The naan is excellent too - which always tells me a lot about an Indian restaurant’s authenticity. Definitely a family favorite.

I hate writing reviews about restaurants, cause I'm lazy, unless something REALLY stands out and I care about the restaurant enough. This was my favorite Indian place as a teen and into adulthood. Came back here from College to be HIGHLY disappointed with the quality of food I got from them tonight. Now hearing about management changes and I want to make this VERY CLEAR to the current owners and managers.SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE OR YOU ARE LOSING A LOT OF CUSTOMERS!Please put the resources into improving your food before you lose more customers! Put some time and money into it please!I hope you guys rebound but this review is gonna stay till I try again in 4 months. (Next break)
My friends and I have been coming here for years. We were disappointed when we realized it was under new ownership and the menu had changed. We could no longer order combo meals which meant the prices went up if we wanted the same variety. However, we quickly discovered that the food was even more delicious than under the last owner. The staff is very attentive and kind as well. The dosas are AMAZING!
