A must stop when you are in Encinitas! The blackened red snapper was amazing!Fresh, flavorful and the portion was perfect.Fish taco was crunchy with a nice size piece of fish and also grilled to perfection.Onion rings were good, not great and the rice was just ok.The clam chowder bread bowl was delicious and creamy and my wife and I both loved the fresh bread it was served in.Great draft beer selection with indoor/outdoor seating. We will eat here every time we are in the area.
Fantastic seafood restaurant in Encinitas. Since this restaurant is located near the beach with busy tourist traffics, the line here tends to get very long. But the line moved very quickly. This is our second time here. The line seemed to be longer this time. I think today is Father’s Day, everyone is out treating their fathers for the special occasion.Even though it’s in a tourist spot, the foods are excellent. I highly recommend the the fish tacos. They make the ordering process very simple. You just have to follow the 123 steps. 1st, choose the type of fish, 2nd, choose the sauce and the 3rd select how you want the seafood to go with, I. e. Taco or plate.I ordered a salmon belly taco which costed only $6. Since San Diego us know for IPA beer, I got myself an glass of their special IPA to go with my Taco. Besides beer, the restaurant offers many varieties of wines as well.My wife’s jumbo shrimp platter was very good too. The shrimp are huge and the two sides that came with the shrimps were delicious. This place definitely worth a stop over before arriving to San Diego.
What a great find! Had the fish and chips, plus the swordfish sandwich and both were excellent. Super nice patio to enjoy your food on, and plenty of seating. Lots of bench seating which I enjoyed. Definitely mark this spot on your list!
Great taste, long line to place order at the counter, reasonable beer selection.
Fresh fish, friendly service. The blackening seasoning is good, the fish soup is delicious.
We really enjoyed the meal. The wine was pretty good too. Very clean and nice outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We had halibut and shrimp and slices were a bit salty but good. You must get the onion rings! Encinitas is a cute little town and Moonlight Beach is awesome.
Greeted warmly by staff whom took our order and told us to seat wherever we like. We chose the outdoor patio which was clean and very comfortable. Drinks were brought over to us very quickly and were delicious. Our meals came out shortly after, but despite our entrees being well portioned and very fresh they lacked any real flavor in regards to the fish itself. The topping had a decent presence (mango, cheese, mayo, etc) , but the fish itself was very bland.
Place has the absolute best fish tacos in SD
This is absolutely the best fish n chips I’ve ever had, authentic delicious beer battered fresh fish, can’t wait to come back again!
Visited for oyster special on Thursday night. Oysters are $1.50 each.Four types of oysters, two from Baja and two from Washington State. Oysters were very good, shuckers were not particularly skilled however, lots of shell chips., had fish tacos an$ fries as well. They were good, a bit too much cabbage and sauce that covered up the fish in my opinion. Really slow and chaotic ordering process. Planned beer for oyster special was not available and they didn’t substitute another. Service was lackadaisical and less than welcoming.
