Look, if you want to learn about tequila and mezcal this is the spot. I drink tequila for a hobby and stumbled upon this place as I was walking by. Mind blown by the selection of real tequila and the knowledge from the bar. It’s very rare you’ll find a place with such an array of tequilas and mezcals. Don’t worry though if you’re more into mixed drinks. This place is still amazing. My gf got a mixed drink and I got a sampler of the Paloma - excellent. Can’t comment on the food and personally wouldn’t even acknowledge it considering the value in it for me is the selection of drinks.

I started off with trading for myself but i noticed the huge difference in profits earned while i worked with an expert. With $500 I earned $6,000 in 7 days of trade. lilian wilson is the only one i can easily recommend. Email:

Delicious food and good atmosphere

Nice little spot in Encinitas with a modern vibe, good music, and great drinks. It's a bit small on the inside, but outdoor seating is the way to go anyway and there's plenty of high tops and regular table with heaters. The drink menu is extensive, it is tequila bar after all, but the bartenders take pride in their mixology skills and it shows. I'd suggest venturing away from your comfort zone and have fun trying something you wouldn't normally get.I haven't tried the food, the kitchen closes at 9, everything sounds good though and if they put as much care in their food as they do their drinks you can't go wrong. The staff was friendly and on point with service. All in all it was a great experience and definitely a place I'll keep high on the "will be back list".

Drinks were ok. Chips and salsa were great. Scallops were small and had a gross briny taste and weak sear. Tacos were blah and over priced for the tiny protein. Empinadas, sweet potatoes and black beans were good. Where was the cilantro in the cilantro rice? Stop by for a drink and chips but go somewhere else for dinner.

Ok, so we’re trying something new here at Henry’s Take. Our publicist @j_alexandra89 suggested that we begin soliciting recommendations for new places to review, so this visit is courtesy of @tinytwointow. While I admit that @deathbytequila feels like an intimating challenge, there’s nothing on the menu that will jeopardize your well being (unless moderation is not your friend). One thing is for sure, I definitely failed to meet the minimum coolness standards required for entry, but they let me slide in anyway. Particularly on a Saturday night, this seems like the place to be. Their Margaritas, Cuatro Salsas, and Short Rib, Crab, and Carnitas Tacos are ridiculously good. The music was upbeat and matched the vibe here, but was loud enough to discourage conversations at the table. This place makes me think we need to develop some kind of rating system at Henry’s Take to portray when our “subscribers” ? really need to visit someplace. For now, let’s just go with, heck yeah you need to get down here! And that’s…Henry’s Take. @henrystake

Arrived and was offered seating inside or out. We preferred to sit outside, as it was pretty busy and noisy inside. The tables for two outside are not near the heaters so we made due after asking about one of the tables near the heaters. Those are reserved for parties of four, although the table we asked about went unused the whole time we were there. The food is fantastic, the ceviche was fresh and perfect and the tacos (steak, carnitas) were moist and flavorful.Sadly, the tequila part of Death by Tequila was a major disappointment. They had three flights of tequila listed on their menu, and we ordered the most expensive to be told that it was not available...at 5:00. Okay, we ordered the middle flight. Of the three shots, one was almost empty. Our server told us that they also ran out of that tequila and so the bartender made the other two shots bigger which, if true, means that their normal shots are under 1 oz.

Cuatro Salsas ?Death By Tequila in Encinitas is Fuego! ?Highly Recommended items to order from Death By Tequila:- Cuatro Salsas (all four are amazing in their own way) ?- Seafood Ceviche (fresh and refreshing) ?- Roasted Elote (I could eat a million spoonfuls!) ?- Taco Gobernador (awesome shrimp taco) ?- Mexican Wildcat Marg (refreshing pineapple marg was awesome on a warm day) ?

Fun place to people watch. We have regularly supported DXT from the inception and during covid. Yesterday my friend and I were there to celebrate a milestone and the service wasn’t good. She was seated five minutes before I arrived and was given water, a menu and a place setting. Our drink order was taken and I was never given a menu or place setting. Her burrito was delivered 10 minutes before mine and we had to ask for my food and her side (mine was cold). I realize it’s n

The food was super tasty! The restaurant was very busy, and we were able to get in right before the rush. Even though the staff was extremely busy, the manager came out and made sure we had everything. Even with a toddler they were very accommodating for items not on the menu, we just had to ask! The margaritas are super tasty! We would have considered staying longer however our toddler had other plans. The DJ that was playing music was great! Must consider stopping if you are on your way through!
