I eat late, so Mexican food is a common dinner. The food here is some of the best. The meat is flavorful and tastes more fresh than similar places. The prices are fair too.
I was looking for a burrito late at night and I ordered the Carne Asada ask the guy if he could make it with beans and rice. You gave me mostly just beans with very little Carne Asada steak and charge me 10 bucks for it.
Definition of average. Usually get California and Carne Asada. Never understood the hype that people give this place. Is open 24 so that’s always a plus.
I always go during the late hours, I've tried many burritos, tacos, the nachos and the horchata, everything I've had has been great! Juicy fresh meats well seasoned and generous portions, the horchata is also very good. A must try place for sure, I haven't experienced their day shift and if anything is different such as quality I can only speak from the night hours. Only thing I'd say is the salsa isn't spicy, it's more flavorful, and the customer service needs work but if the food slaps that's all I care about.
I have been going to Cotixan for years, and as someone who’s been to 100s of Mexican food places in San Diego I can say they are one of the best. The food is always great and the portions are always big. They also have the best red sauce of any Mexican place I have been to.
I just had the Carne asada burrito because I didn't have much time to sit and eat but the Borrito was actually pretty tasty. I believe it was around $10 which is competitive to anywhere else you go .
This was my first time here despite living in southern California my entire life. But when you have a family member ask you for a delicious, fat breakfast burrito, you turn to Google Local Guides. And I would say y'all didn't let me down, and neither will these burritos. Cotixan is one of those quintessential Mexican food spots that you really have to try at least once. Now that I have however, I could see stopping here anytime I drive by one. That is how good these burritos were. Oh and the salsa was bomb, the red one at least. Not a huge fan of green salsas anyway, but it was actually pretty good compared to others I have had.
This has been my family's favorite taco shop for about 15 years. You can't go wrong with the Super Breakfast Burrito.
It doesn't look like it but it has the best California burrito out there. Amazing meat with a great salsa!
Outstanding choice. Great selection, giant portions. I'm getting the Carne Asada Fries again.
