We love the bartenders. VODKA is our favorite but he is Tongan like a lot of people from our neighborhood. Wish the kitchen stayed open later.
This is a Icon in the area. I grew up going to this restaurant/bar/grill since I was a little girl with my dad and brother.. a place locals go to for a decent meal at a great price. Captain Keno is still running his resturant!!Food
What a gem! This place is a dive bar, which I find those are really best! Good comfort food in casual atmosphere. Happy hour is 6 a.m. to 12a.m. so basically all day. Unbelieveable prices! Like spaghetti dinner is $2.99. When I first saw that I thought that must be an old sign. Actually the sign that says Captain Kenos is missing but you can find it on Google.Really good portions on food. 3 pork chops come with the pork chop dinner. They also have ribs, not sure what day and I think I saw prime rib on the week end. Also great for kiddies they have a pac man machine and the one with the crane where you can win stuffed animals. Even if you lose the bartender will still give you a prize! Super friendly staff. They dont have a waitress but the lady who takes the food orders will bring your food to you. Yes, the place is dated, maybe 1950? But its very clean and well kept up. I really liked it here. Its soo comfortable. I dont know who Captain Keno is but theres a picture of a fireman captain on the wall. Im guessing thats him. This place is totally awesome and the prices are great for Del Mar. Restrooms were spotless. I really cant say enough great things about this place. I liked it soo much I went 2 days in a row! The only con is its a bit of a drive from San Diego and traffic doesnt help but its a lovely place to stop for dinner and drinks after you leave the beach

Anyone that knows this place knows the routine. It’s not a fancy sit down restaurant. Fish and chips is the best deal ever! The prices here are from like 1992. The food is just as good (if not better ) as any other so called restaurant. This is You’re basic pub food that is done good. Quick turnaround. Fish and chips ready in 10 minutes. !! Quality for all American pub food.Plus, ordered to go and got regular old cardboard plate and tinfoil. NO Styrofoam or plastic box like everyone else in the United States.Anyone who knows this place knows the routine. You pay in advance and see yourself and it’s like home away from home. I’m actually a health food type of eating person if I go out and want some regular old all American food might as well go here.
Quality comfort food at a cost that makes you smile. The drinks are good and affordable as well. But what really made me call it home was the amazing people who work here, and the other regulars who are like family. Love you all!
Great Restaurant,and Lounge. They've been around forever. They have great all-you-can-eat clam chowder,great fish and chips. You can get pretty much anything for dinner. I've never had a bad meal there, and the price it's right. They have a beach type,casual/ party atmosphere.
Great hangout, love the bar. Unbelievable prices on food and drinks. Unpretentious, not many places left like this anymore.
Keno's is a Southern California icon. I have eaten there many times in the last 7 years. The french toast is scrumptious, the clan chowder is a treat, the decorations for 2021 Thanksgiving and Christmas are beautiful.
