Love the quality of the food here. I am of Italian descent and realize we all love our family's unique version of gravy, pasta, pizza, and meat dishes but this one seems to unite us all. Anyone giving less than a 4 or 5 stars must have experienced something we never have or they themselves might have been having an off night. The prices are reasonable and the food is great. Proprio Squisiti (Truly Delicious)!
Good food - antipasto salad is good. Meat sauce is good esp on Spaghetti. Cheese ravioli is my 2nd favorite item. Meat lasagna is very tasty. My favorite is the Spaghetti carbonara. Linguini in white clam sauce is ok but not as great as the other items I've listed. The Tiramusu desert is very very good. Service is decent.
We day trip the San Diego area often and are always looking for those local places to eat dinner before heading home.This visit we were looking for pizza and decided on Borrelli's.It may have a rather nondescript interior with an odd layout but very good pizza and salad. We will be eating here again.
Best baked Ziti!! I have been craving this for so long and since moving to Carlsbad don’t have a chance to come here as often then when I lived in Encinitas. Their pizza is delicious too!
Dined in and had the veal piccata, was delicious. When I feel like Italian food this is my go to spot in Encinitas. Great family run feel, excellent food and drinks. The pastas in my opinion are always the same quality when you order so no suprises
Love this place for their food and had some good wine, beer selection kinda not there also definitely not a trendy place, during our visit definitely noticed a lot older clientele they tend to know where the good food is at lol. We had baked ziti and shrimp scampi no complaints.
ORIGINAL REVIEW 2 stars: "I keep looking for a great pizza place closer to home. Bought the 16" Special. It lacked "pizza" flavor and had almost no pizza sauce. My roommate thought it was OK ... I didn't. I like the east coast pizza (slightly sweet crust and sauce). "This is an addendum to our original 2 star pizza review. The owner took the time to reach out to me and explained that he had a new cook filling in for the regular cook while he was out. The owner offered to make us another pizza so that we could see how their pizzas normally are. I like the owners attitude in trying to please his customers so gave it another try. This pizza was MUCH better than the first and we look forward to trying some of their other pizzas as well.
The server must have been new,, kinda dingy. Slow and it wasn't busy. Food as delicious as always! So still getting 5 stars.
Great place to dine in or take out. The prices are fair and there is usually no problem getting a table. The early bird menu prices are great for adults and kids to share. Nice place to go with the family.
Delicious, satisfying pizza - I’m new to the area and happy to have a good classic go to for pizza that isn’t a big chain or trying too hard to be unique. Best mozzarella. The environment doesn’t set it apart so I probably wouldn’t come here for a date, but it’s very clean and the service was prompt so it was great for a quick solo lunch! Thank you!
