Great service and delicious food
The staff went above and beyond my expectations for reservations I made on 23rd April, the same night as my daughter’s prom. We had unexpected occurrences with our personal schedule. The staff worked with us and did so with so much respect. Our server was on point; the food, as always, delicious; everything was clean and inviting. THIS is what customer service is ALL about! I’ve been a customer since the early 90s and will continue to be a loyal customer. Thank you to all of the staff; your dedicated service and professionalism ?
This is an absurdly good restaurant with fantastic hospitality. If you’re in Oakland you can do yourself a huge favour and take care of yourself with a beautiful meal. Food, staff, the place itself get more stars than Facebook allows. And if you’re dining outside the most beautiful tree for company.
Great food and atmosphere!
Wasn't impressed neither with the customer service nor with the quality of offered menu. Martini was flat, sweet potato fries burnt, focaccia bread undercooked. The only good thing was the beer and the outdoor ambience of a cozy beer garden. Wouldn't pay so much money for such average food, sadly.
I haven't been able to sample their food but had a chance to peek into the kitchen this morning and have to say... The kitchen is spotless! Very nice, well organized and, as someone associated with the food industry for decades, I can easily recommend this as a trusted place if, like myself, sanitation and safety are your first priorities.Honestly, it's rare to walk into any restaurant in California that is as so obviously well maintained as this one.It's close where I live, enough to be considered a neighborhood spot, and I am looking forward to sampling the food here in the near future. However, now that I have seen their kitchen my expectations will be high yet I am certain that they will not disappoint.Inside surroundings are spacious, clean, and welcoming and mirror the confidence of the back of house, kitchen area.Additionally, there is a nice patio for those bay area evenings and a parking lot with additional street parking.While it feels kinda hidden, it's actually very accessible to both locals (Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland) as well as people around TBA and just a short hop away from Emeryville' s main shopping areas.
It was our first time there. We went for my wife's birthday. We sat outside. The drinks and the food were great! My wife had the El Matador and we had both the Salmon Ceasar salad, Charcuterie and Mussels. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back.
We sat outside and it had great atmosphere. The service was good the wine was tasty, and the pork chop was nummy. They have an arugula kale salad that was clean, simple and spot on.
Amazing!!! Great place for brunch. Really want to go back to see their dinner menu!! Salad was huge and very delicious. On the pricier side but totally worth what you pay for. The bartender even made me an amazing Tom Collins which I can never get!!!
Superb food and friendly service. Friend had the grilled chicken salad and I had the Monkey Bowl. I meant to share but after the first bite I hoarded it for myself. It was that good.
