This is the third time I have done an online order and I arrive before the pick up time and the food is cold. I do not believe that meat should be pre cooked because it is over cooked and can not be warmed with the microwave because it will cook it some more and it will dry the meat out even more. Hash browns if they are freshly cooked should be at least warm when you pick them up before the pick up time but because they are cooked a head of the orders they are cold and hard. Such a waste of my personal time and hard earned money. This makes it hard to support small businesses if the price do not match the service of the goods.
Polaris Cafe is the perfect boba hidden gem in Emeryville. I was picking up an Oakland Tea Co. order, and it came with a complimentary drink! I was really impressed with the quality of the tea, both in my drink from the cafe and the tea leaves I purchased. The boba quality was really great and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend!
Great vegetarian breakfast burritos ?
They have a rotating menu which is a hit or miss. Had the vegan chorizo bowl and they did a pretty great job with it! Would recommend if you visit and they have this available.
Visit this tucked away cafe for delicious lunch plates, breakfast, coffee and boba teas. The green smoothie on the menu is so good!
Ube cheesecake?! Yes! Matcha latte?! Yes! New lunch menu every few weeks and always delicious.

I’m so glad I found this hidden gem! They make the best earl grey and green matcha scones. The added glazed on top of the scones make it so crispy and tasty! And everything is made from scratch. I also love their brown rice and matcha milk tea! You can taste the real tea flavor it in. Not too sweet, not too bland, just perfect! You won’t be disappointed. They also do personalized orders as well! Love this place!
Polaris cafe is tucked away and you might not even notice it at first, but you’d be missing out! Incredibly friendly and pleasant staff add to the charm. This a great cafe with great food, drinks, and now even sells some hard to get staples like flour and yeast!
