This is a cool place! Great food, fresh and tasty, very nice staff. Excellent to have some selections for vegetarian like my husband and I. I especially liked the Italian quinoa salad which has quinoa, avacado and almond in the mix. The chef understood what vegetarian needs, protein! We enjoyed our lunch a lot!
Really nicely done European style thin crust pizza. I had the beef brisket and my husband had the BBQ chicken pizza. We both liked the taste and thought the pizzas were made with fresh and not packaged dough. I just wish we had ordered a salad because they also looked nice. Owners are Turkish and trying hard to make a good run of this place. One of the owners came over to ask for feedback for anything we could add to the menu or on the pizza. Well that is a first! I wish more small owners would do the same.
this place delicious! I’m pretty picky with my pizza, as I love me some east coast style thin crust crispy and amazing margherita and this place definitely hit the spot. got some calamari to go with it and i have zero regrets. not too greasy, lightly coated and fried and the perfect amount of crispy. definitely planning to come here again (and maybe even on a margherita monday)!
We’ve already been here more times than I care to count and have had most of the menu at this point. Everything ranges from “amazing” to “worth trying”. This Neapolitan pizza is the real deal with classic options and some creative “Americanized” twists. We keep going back to the pepperoni pizza with hot honey. Pastas are great too. The staff is also super friendly.I wish I had better photos, but the food is already halfway gone by the time I remember to take a picture.
Tried this place twice, and loved it. The furniture and space is a little 'cafeteria' style but the super friendliness of the staff and excellent food made it me forget about it.We'll definitely come back!
Great food. Since the closing of Hot Italian, and Pasta Pomodoro, Emeryville has been seriously lacking a delicious Italian eatery. With the opening of Pizzeria Mercato, that void has been filled. They have a number of delicious options. We ordered at the counter, and were provided a number for our table. They also have an option to order from your table by scanning a barcode. We sat down, and waited for the food to be delivered. There is a station for tap water as well. In what felt like just a few short minutes, our food was delivered to our table. Employees were also courteous, and attentive. Immediately after sitting down, we were provided with plates, napkins, and silverware. Looking forward to returning, and trying out the pizza. A number of customers had ordered various pizzas. They all looked very good. ❤️❤️
We ordered Brisket Pizza and Calamari Fritti. The ingredients are fresh, calamari is very tender and delicious. The services are awesome ???? Definitely will back and I wanna try it all. Lolol ?
I recommend this to anyone who likes Neapolitan style pizzas. They are a generous size, with many different options for toppings. That said, it can be expensive for one, so I’d also recommend having pizza here with a few friends. The crust was nicely browned, but soft and airy; I can appreciate a crust like this, but it may not be favorite of those who swear by thin and crispy. I ordered the mushroom white pizza and added broccoli rabe for an extra 2 dollars. While it was good, I don’t think the mushroom, thyme, and greens alone could fully complement the mozzarella and ricotta, both of which are mild cheeses. The mushrooms are also mainly baby bellas, which are pretty mild to begin with. If you order this pizza, try it with truffle oil, a smoked or cured meat, or garlic.
I am so impressed with Pizzeria Mercato! Having many Italian friends, I’ve tasted very delicious pizza in my life but hands down this place has the best Neapolitan-style pizza I’ve ever had. And it is not just their pizza! They also have amazing creamy pasta, fresh salad, and a great selection of wine and other drinks. The tiramisu is a must!! I have tried three of their pizzas already: Margherita, mushroom, and brisket. And will definitely keep coming back for more!
I've already been here twice since they opened! The garlic cheese bread and the spaghetti carbonara are delicious! I had the pizza previously which was also delicious! The service is exceptional.
