Great place. HUGE sandwich. Got the chicken pesto and it was basically two meals! Strong coffee. Like so many places in our industry, proper staffing is incredibly difficult to find, and then workers reap people’s confusion and anger over a problem the establishment has literally no control over. The guy at this cafe does pretty much everything by himself. If you are patient: you will be rewarded with an amazingly huge and tasty sandwich for not much money. If you are impatient… well, you should go work on you. Big shout out to all the independent cafes and restaurants in the Bay that are working hard through the tough times. (No, the pandemic certainly isn’t anywhere close to over for this industry. Please be kind.)

Not sure what happened in the last year but quality seems to have gone down. Paid $8 for a slice of bread, egg, and bacon :(Coffee from the large vat of beans/hot water is similarly priced and quality. Great place to hangout but maybe not for breakfast(Nope no veggies or dressing or sauce)

First time eating here, just wanted some food and caffeine before work. I had high hopes, I wanted to like this place, but sadly nothing did it for me. I ordered a bagel sandwich, and my avocado was mostly brown and old:( Also my "iced mocha" was just coffee water with some syrup and no ice, very watery:( the only reason I'm giving another star is because they replaced my bagel sandwich and drink. I got a cappuccino instead which also had a "watery" quality. I don't think they know how to do espresso here.

Had a good sandwich there, but the negative is that front door is open and there are flies inside in the baked goods display, really needs to b a lid on it. Went there saturday at 0830 and there were only a handful of bagels avail. Some were being prepared but for a place boasting about their bagels need to have some in stock for breakfast. Was there the following monday at 0900 and there were only 10 bagels and most were very thin for a bagel and more flies, will find another bagel place

Great spot for a morning bagel if you're nearby.Edit: unfortunately the quality has declined somewhat. Last time I went most of the bagels were under cooked, and many of the baked goods had flies on them. Cute spot and nice interior. I hope they can improve!

Usually, I would want to leave a helpful review that would help the business improve, but honestly they were so far off the mark that I don't think that I can be helpful. The mocha was watery drip with chocolate syrup. The chicken did not really have taste in the sandwich. The lox bagel was probably the best thing, but still pretty mid. They skimped on the cream cheese and smoked salmon. They advertise their award winning bagels, but I was really not impressed. Even an Einstein bagel from Costco tasted fresher and had better texture. This kinda felt like a meal made from leftover materials.

Sandwiches come with a delicious salad. Spinach, pickled red onions, roma cherry tomatoes, sesame seeds, and an Asian dressing that tastes fantastic. It was honestly one of the best salads I've ever had. Refreshing change from the basic Romaine lettuce with Italian vinaigrette.

Unfortunately the bagels are not consistent. I've had two undercooked/raw bagels, one a few months ago and one today. Bummed.

Went for an early coffee when the other cafe’s around were closed. Good coffee. Incredible fresh bagel. Friendly service.

I live in the neighborhood and used to like coming here. The bagels are comparably good for the neighborhood. The service is usually slow, but the last two times I came I was ignored for a long time and walked home before ordering.
