Having dined on dim sum all my life in Asia, I speak with some authority when I say that several of their dishes were substandard that include your basic staples. 2 of the 5 dishes we ordered were terrible. 2 were mediocre with one deemed acceptable. Thoughts of take-outs was immediately curtailed! Never again. With awesome competition up in Sac, they will not survive with such substandard quality on basic fare.
Had the best food! Chicken feet were amazing and the dim sum was really good. Service was also pretty great.
Food was very good and the restaurant did reasonable during Mother's Day Dinner service. Would wish places like this would send out rice and noodle dishes earlier though. Definitely recommend the fish maw soup, roasted chicken and duck, pork belly, and chow fun with gravy. We had a table of 11 and ordered 13 dishes with half of them being seafood dishes and our total came up to around $390.
Delicious dim sum. My favorite here are Siu My, shrimp balls, tripe, baked bao, my goodness! A lot! I'm very particular with hot tea in restaurants. Their hot tea is ?! I will come back, of course. Check this place out if you like dimsum. This was not my 1st visit. There's 4 Siu My per serving and not 5. Photos are my food to go. ?
Pretty good Cantonese food. It's one of those truly "authentic" places with round dining tables, fish tanks full of live fish and crab and lobster, and canto/mandarin speaking wait staff. There is a limited dim sum menu. Would stick to Canto dishes (Xiao long bao is a Shanghai cuisine) like chicken feet and turnip cake (lo bak go). Deep fried shrimp balls were okay but not the best.Ordered some dim sum dishes that were good for Sacramento quality. Also ordered fish maw with crab meat soup which tasted good. Steamed three colored egg was smooth and silky, just how I like it. Hokkein pan fried noodles came with a crispy layer of rice noodles on top and a bunch of meat/veggie/filling underneath. Wasn't what I was expecting but it was okay.
My experience here have been mixed. The dimsum here is awesome but the service during normal dinning hours sucks, at least the times I've gone. So, I only come here Saturday brunch times around 10-11ish.
Awesome Dim Sum and staff! Me and my dad were driving through CA state and stopped here for dinner when we read the good reviews. They have a big selection of dim sum and other dishes and everything came out hot and flavorful! We were not disappointed! We were very satisfied with our meal and we paid and left. We drove about 8 hours and stopped at a hotel in OR state, only to realize that my dad had left his credit card by accident at this restaurant. We called and the staff were so kind and understanding, they immediately mailed the card back home to WA state and we just received it today! If we lived closer we would come here often! Highly recommend the food and atmosphere! Thank you Well Season Dim Sum!
Surprised at the quality and taste! I had given up on LA-level culinary cuisine after having moved up to Sacramento. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and quality of the food for their prix fixe dinner option. The roasted pig with crispy skin and seemingly air fried chicken were delicious. The fried rice might have been fried with butter it was so flavorful.I heard that the restaurant used to be packed pre-pandemic for dimsum. Service was definitely slow while I was there - likely cause of staffing shortages + rush of customers with Chinese new year. Took almost 2 hours to get all 8 dishes.
Restaurant is quite large. Social distancing. Food is very good but they need lay off the soy sauce when preparing some of the dishes. Way too much of it. Portions are good size. Pricy but worth it.
The food was amazing! Very authentic and tasty. Ordered the orange chicken and it was divine. The vegetable fried rice was very good as well. Beef chow fun was great, the meat wasn't tough at all. The dim sum was also very tasty. Don't sleep on this place! Very spacious with tons of seating inside
