Loved the zucchini bolani and dips served with it. It was a huge portion. Freshly made in 20 minutes while I shopped. Store carries a variety of spices, lentils, legumes, nuts, honey, sweets etc. Must visit the store if you are looking for some different kind of groceries. Friendly staff. Lena the owner of the store spent a good amount of time answering my questions. Store is clean and spacious. Great addition to Elk Grove❤️
This place is a hidden gem if your are ever in the area. Great selection of food and the quality is fulfilling. Can’t wait to come back and try other items on the menu!
This place is awesome! There is so much to see and learn. We learned about the health benefits of saffron. The staff is warm and friendly. Ina was exceptionally helpful. She has great customer service! My friend and I bought some loose leaf tea, saffron sugar cubes, 1 chicken wrap, 1 falafel bowl. The potato fritters (I forgot the actual name) were delish with a slight kick. The pistachio ice cream is yummy. Everything was good and flavorful. I'll definitely be back.
It's always a good sign when your mom gets lunch here, then tells you within 30 minutes of eating her food to also order food to go there, and then you scarf down your entire wrap. I've been waiting for a place like this to open in the Sac area for years. I am so glad this is by a number of my family members since it will always give me a good excuse to pick up food here for my husband and I. Just got some pastries and the wrap, but I am already oogling the groceries for jars of harissa and the perfect tahini, etc. The staff was also so sweet and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need. Such a great addition to Elk Grove!
Went to this place after seeing the great pics online. I wanted the bowl with the ground sirloin kabob. In the pic the kabob is cut in half and placed in a bowl with some rice and the veggie mix for $8.99. I was told that you cannot get that in a bowl, only a plate for $13.99. We were already there so we said ok. The kabob could have easily have been cut and placed in the bowl, since it is really not that long and just a little thicker than a hot dog. Also, the bread; hard. I know they say it’s fresh baked, but it was terrible. And don’t be in a hurry; it took us around 25 minutes to get our food; and it was not busy. The restaurant itself was clean and the baked goods looked good. But, I did not appreciate the unnecessary $5 upsell. We will not be returning.
Clean place and friendly people but too expensive and I'm not picky about price as long as I get what I pay for but I paid $15 plus tax for a bolani that barely had anything in it but dough and very oily and 4 cream rolls that taste just like an ordinary pastry but $20 for 4 and some homemade cream and a supposedly tandoori cookie which was baked in oven and all together for $55. Seems to me these people really tax you for having a clean place and they try to make it seem gourmet but it's actually not and sadly it's a rip off! Not going there there again nor would I recommend!
Amazing food, friendly service, I loved the Gyros wrap, the leek/potato bolani is perfect, I also got the pakoras and the loaded fries, i will go back for sure, this place is now one of my favorite wknds go out to dining spots
I love this place!! Must get their wraps/gyro. Just grabbed some and drove out to eg park for an easy picnic - their pastries are great too! Not too sweet but hits the spot (carrot cake is delish). super friendly people and a nice window seating area if you wanted a sit-down meal. Will definitely come back when I’m in the mood for a quick and satisfying lunch :)
Welcome to the neighborhood. We’re glad to have to supermarket with halal meat, spices, pastry and mini food corner. It was soft opening and there were so many people. It was nice seeing exceptional customer service although it was busy.
