The ramen is 'fine,' but not exactly any kind of magnet. The day I went they were really busy and somewhat understaffed, but that happens sometimes. I found the soup slightly bitter, the chasu entirely too thickly cut, and the noodles just 'ok.' I ordered a dumpling appetizer that was really overcooked, and to the point that any attempt to pick it up with chopsticks resulted in the meatball slipping out through the wrapping -- like every time. Honestly, I'd try other places before going back.Cheers!
This was a spectacular experience! The staff is excellent and friendly, they are clued in and keep track of their orders and tables expertly. Our drinks never got below half and our ramen was Warm and delicious.I highly recommend the Maru Ramen (see the photo) the pork was tender and well seasoned and once the egg was split open the delicious yolk blended with the broth and it was like an episode of Food Wars!I was pleasantly surprised that the broth was savory and full of flavor and didn't just taste like liquid salt.The Gummy worm IPA is delicious! If you want a good full flavor beer that doesn't just taste like hops this is the beer for you!For appetizers, we had the shrimp tempura and the Gyoza. Both were crisp and flavorful and not overly salty like some restaurants.This was a delightful find and I recommend a visit. I will be returning for certain.
Love their ramens?! Will definitely come back to this place whenever I crave ramen. Broth was extremely flavorful off the back. love their pork belly fries too, would love to have bigger portion or more fries, other than that it's a great ramen place with extremely great customer service and friendly employees.

This place is legit. I've been to Shoki Ramen in downtown Sac when lived there a few years ago and I thought nothing could top it. Unfortunately they closed down so I've been looking for a ramen joint with the same caliber of quality. I had family in town from the south who wanted to try different cuisines and my friends recommended Maru. I tried their house ramen and it was packed full of flavor with soft, melt in your mouth, chasu. I couldn't believe how flavorful it was. I am looking for an excuse to go back. Such a great place.
Best ramen I've ever had. The broth is rich and full of flavor and the egg is perfectly cooked. The noodles are really good too, you can tell that they make it by hand
We called in to ask when the latest time we could come in is to be seated inside. The girl on the phone said they can take us in until 8:45. We reached there at 8:43 and spoke to the employee. He said they can’t seat us but we told them we spoke to someone else on the phone. The same girl we spoke to (we recognized her voice) came up to us and asked who we spoke to on the phone. She asked for a name but we didn’t know her name. She said that there was a misunderstanding and they could not seat us because they were cleaning up the kitchen already. They were still open for take out so idk why it would have been a big deal. We drove an hour to visit and they turned back on their words. It was clearly the same girl and I noticed her getting flustered from afar when the guy was explaining the situation to her. She really didn’t have to act confused as if it wasn’t her who told us we’d be seated. I really wanted to try this place out too but the customer service definitely is lacking. She explained to us that it would take 10 minutes to prepare the food & we would have 5 minutes to eat. We were perfectly fine with that but she didn’t even offer it as an option. That was her reasoning for not allowing us to dine in.
Out of all the ramen restaurants in Sacramento this one was the best I’ve dine in. The staff was friendly and always have a smile. The Food was delicious! They have a lot of great options to choose from. I’m coming back for sure!
We had a fantastic experience at Maru. The ramen shop is nice and cozy with enough seating in the facility that people would not feel cramped. I love the simple modern decor inside. Their ramen is extremely creamy, which I love. I had their signature Maru ramen and it was truly delicious. I ate till I couldn't walk. I loved that the staff bend over backwards to help their patrons. They allowed people at my table to customize their menu items. The food is great, staff is great. Love Maru Ramen!
Vegan ramen was delicious! Make sure to get extra ramen :)
