Great atmosphere and a wonderful fresh homemade salad ??
Great food, fun atmosphere, the people that work there are so nice and helpful, we wanted a picture of us with a friend who's moving out of state, it may be the last picture we get of us together and the bus boy dropped everything he was doing to take it for us. Love Jacks!
5 Stars the FIRST time I ate here and then...the NEXT DAY...key salad bowl ingredient completely left out of ALL 3 I ordered for pick up (darn near $60 spent). I know that Jack's Urban Eats would want to right this error, but considering I brought the salads back to the SF Bay Area, maybe it'll be difficult for them to make it up to me. I really hope to hear back from someone cuz despite the missing ingredient, when I come to Elk Grove to visit my parents, I will most likely get food from them again. I'll just insist on a double check of the order.Overall, I say good food but have THEM double check your ToGo orders. I'm sure those kind of errors don't happen to folks that eat at the location.
DO NOT ORDER the Korean BBQ Steak Bowl. It was absolutely NOT worth the price, nor was it filling. There was maybe, maybe 1/4-1/2 cup of thinly sliced Korean bbq marinated steak, a 1/4 cup of black rice/quinoa and the rest, like the entire bowl was shredded cabbage. It was pretty maddening. Of course we didn't see it until we got home. Just shredded cabbage for $17!!!!
They never pick up the phone, not to mention I have ordered the Chinese chicken salad multiple times and today was the third time they forgot the jicama. I am not entirely sure why they don't check to make sure they are making the order correctly. I made sure that I did not accidently hit "no jicama" Just issue after issue with this location...
I absolutely loved this place. My friend treated me and I got a custom salad with salmon, cucumber, feta, blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, crispy wontons, and a gorgonzola dressing and it was delicious ???. And we shared a their specialty fries, also amazing. I will for sure be back to try their sandwiches I hear so much about.
Gluten free buns for sandwiches was a nice surprise but keep your receipt. Ordered and paid for fries and was then told I had not when food was delivered.
I went Jack's yesterday (1/16/2022) ordered 2 build a salads with chicken. We eat here several times a month as our favorite restaurant. Lately, the beets are now canned & barely get the sides like before. First time ever, 1/3 of the mixed greens was rotten but mixed in and didn't realize it till late. I eat once a day, and this has me still sick with food poisoning. We won't be eating here anymore.
I don’t know if I’ll eat here again. Mashed potatoes were hard and clumpy. Stuffing was ok. Salmon, I think farmed raised? Mixed veggies the carrots were hard as hell. And don’t even get me started on the Mac and cheese ? very disappointing experience!
yummy turkey w mashed potatoes. gravy,stuffing all year long. wonderful custom salads, fresh, housemade real food! I've been going since the 1st location in midtown Sac opened 20 yrs ago and it's still as good! p.s. try the garlic fries too.
