I ordered brisket and pulled pork and probably the worst BBQ I have ever had. The brisket tasted like old roast beef and the pork wasn't much better. I ate about 1/3 of it and trashed the rest.
To me the bbq and food is just not good. Im sorry. The place is nice and clean. But there so many better bbq spots.
The review that I'm leaving has as much to do with the great tasting BBQ at Dicky's in Elk Grove as it does to the young lady wo helped me. I want to give a positive review to a young lady who helped me named Bianca. She did a fabulous job. Bianca's appearance was good from the start, she was attentive to my needs and questions. The food was neatly placed in the bag, everything secure and nothing spilled on my drive home. And the best part is that when I arrived home the order was correct and all the food was there (it really sucks when that does not happen). Bianca was pleasant, nice to talk to and made my experience at Dickey's outstanding. I've eaten at several different Dickey's and the experience at the Elk Grove location has been the best yet.
As an experienced food delivery driver, this location is by far one of the WORSE restaurants for Doordash/GH deliveries. The wait time is always 25 to 30 minutes. They do not start the order until the driver arrives. As I watch them take 10minutes to measure out each piece of meat on the scale they have no sense of urgency for the diners food to arrive on time and fresh. We get $6 bucks to delivery food for your customers, make your store profits, and we are treated very poorly at this restaurant. It is quite disrespectful. Do BETTER...or we will continue to DECLINE orders from your restaurant !!
a little pricey for the portion size, but overall good barbecue ?.. we always order extra the spicy sausage

I ordered over $100 of food last night from here. It was 1lb pulled pork, 1lb beef brisket, and a full rack of ribs. All the meat felt like they had been just reheated in the microwave. They were all rubbery and dry. Everything was just bad. Waste of money.
