I ordered the butter chicken rice bowl and the lamb curry. The butter chicken rice bowl was ok. It was hot and fresh. The lamb curry was ok. The meat was tender. The negative was that the portions are small. The lamb curry is very small portion and it had a thick layer of grease on top. Flavor was ok. I had better. Overall if you are desperate for Indian food, it's not bad. Be prepare to spend a lot of money.
Food was great. Staff was very kind, and I imagine it must be a cultural phenomenon on why some people are more generous at greeting others. Temper your expectations. There's no red carpet rollout, and they'll do their best.This isn't India oven. It's a great mom's and pop joint that's welcoming and serves great food at a reasonable price considering inflation. Not to mention, their sweets are great.If you want a server that's dressed up like he's going to court to fight a case (slacks/dress shirt) then look elsewhere, because that decorum will come at an expensive price.Come here for great food, a great price, and great sweets. Support your local businesses.
I have been ordering food from this place in recent past. Each time i had a pick up scheduled, they have been little late in getting the food ready. This time, I figured I will ask 3 PM pick up so the food might be ready by 3:30 PM. I went there around 3:30 today and they said that because I was late, they gave my food away to someone else. BS. Who is going take food for 10 people in 30 minutes?Their food is good but they are starting to charge ridiculous price and the customer service is going down the drain.Sorry, I had to vent because I have been bragging about this place since it opened and they are not keeping up the standards anymore.
Today I ordered tandoori chicken. They give me old chicken. Last month this restaurant good service now is bad .

My wife ordered Indian street food from here on Friday evening. They told us it will be 20 min. When we arrived, they were packing our hot dishes. This restaurant did not smell of the pungent curry smell we get in other restaurants. Which means they use proper ventilation system and we did not smell like curry when we walked out. My wife order some sweets also that was already prepped. When we went home and opened the carry out boxes and there was enough food for 4. All the food was hot,and nothing spilled. They also packed plenty of chutneys. I will definitely order from here again.

Its quite a new Indian sweets shop near Sheldon Road & Elk Grove Blvd. The lady on the desk offered great customer service and was calm. She did answer my all questions and even went above and beyond. The price is $11/12 per lb. for Indian sweets. They have a lot of choices for sweets. They do have an in-house restaurant for delicious Indian dishes.
