This is an amazing little shop. The painting on the wall is gorgeous. They need to have paper menus available. The menu is on the wall and a smaller sample menu next to the cash register. Why would I say this? Many of us come to relax and talk to friends. It would bring in more profits and customers to have a take away menu. Sitting inside and relaxing I would have ordered more drinks if I had time to deliberate over what was offered.The drinks we decided to buy were functional on quenching our thirst.

Barista was nice, so I'm giving them three stars because it's not her fault the drink wasn't great (might have been the fault of the barista on bar, though, but I'm assuming it's the recipe). Ordered a sea salt caramel iced coffee; it was heavy on the sea salt, light on the caramel. The foam was entirely salt, no caramel, so while I hated to do this (since ik that's not how it's supposed to be drunk) I went ahead and stirred it in, which just made the entire drink salty - that's my bad, since that's not the way it's supposed to be, but it was odd because that kind of drink usually tastes fine stirred in while this one was like drinking my own tears. There was almost zero sweet, which would have been fine by me except for the briny saltiness. As far as I could tell (which wasn't very far), the iced coffee itself was smooth - though I've heard salt helps balance out acidity, so that might have been why it tasted fine. All in all, fine service, mediocre drink. I'm planning on getting a house brew tomorrow so I'll come back w an update depending on what that's like.Update: went back today around 12pm, asked for a small dark roast but she said they didn't have any brewed, which I found odd. It's the middle of the day, what coffee shop doesn't have a dark roast? Ordered a medium roast instead, and it was what you'd expect from a medium roast. Sour, tangy, acidic. Not the worst coffee I've ever had, but I missed dark roast. However, the barista was nice and made me feel welcomed without a pressure to order. in all, coffee was a disappointment and I probably won't go back again.
Great atmosphere! Great coffee as well. I had the honey lavender latte with oat milk and it was wonderful!

My wife and I have been regular customers for the past couple of months getting our coffee in the morning. On 08/12/2021 I walked into the 18 Grams location in Elk Grove to order my normal Chai Latte; however, I wanted to try something different and asked the lady at the register what's popular/good. The lady suggested the 1987 drink as one of the popular ones, so I decided to give it a try. Upon trying it, I didn't like it and asked if I can switch my drink to my regular one which is the Chai Latte. The lady was VERY RUDE and said to me "that you come here all the time!" I responded to her that just because I come here all the time doesn't mean that I know their store policy that you're not able to switch your drink but they can only remake it. I felt the lady could have handled it differently. Customer service is a big deal and the way she talked to me was UNPROFESSIONAL and definitely NOT good customer service. I will NOT be coming back as a customer to 18 Grams nor my family.
The Thai iced tea had more ice than drink. Paid $5.00 for a cup that consisted of mostly ice, and the condensed milk to tea ratio was off which gave the drink a bitter tea taste.
Great vibe, service and drinks…every time! Cloud 18 is excellent!
