Came just before 9pm with a buddy. They close at 9:30pm.Cashier asked the Manager if it was okay if we could DINE IN for us but, he said No. No Problem, they want to go home on time.Although we would've cleaned up after ourselves, and tipped, I totally get it!!!!The restaurants interior is very 80's kitsch with Linoleum Flooring and Tables found at any dated Fast Food Restaurant.Novelas always on the screen.I didn't bother checking the Restrooms.Plenty of Parking. Staff is Friendly & Hardworking.Not the best neighborhood and lots of Homeless walking around outside with Mental Issues but, these Local Ethnic Hole-in-The-Walls usually have The Best Tasting Food!So, we both Ordered the "Pollo Loco Special" which is a Half-Chicken of Rotisserie Chicken with Bread, Fries & Salad.I finished My Order with a Large ORANGE BANG! BOMB!!!The other Long-Standing Hole-in-The-Wall Local Favorite location in Rosemead on San Gabriel Blvd and Graves Rd. finally shut it's doors last year. I guess they couldn't compete with the Wuhan Flu. Too Bad for all of us. That place was well known locally as the GO TO Spot for American Breakfast, Mexican Breakfast, Burgers, Sammies and their Pollo Loco.So, I remembered coming to this El Monte Location during the Early 90's and thought I'd see if it had the Pollo Loco since it was a Long Standing Local Chain and ultimately, They Did!!!Juicy Delicious Rotisserie Chicken meat with Toasted Halved Bread, Small Green Salad and Perfect Fries??Now, My Buddy will become a Regular and he says it's REALLY GOOD and better than many Popular Westside Rotisserie Chicken Joints with More Bang For Your Buck!!!I will always come back for more of their El Pollo Loco Special!

They take forever they ignore you when u walk in second food is nasty rice beans no flavor food no flavor in sauces they use for wet burritos or enchiladas nasty way to spicy with no flavor not enjoyable the enchiladas have berly any chicken they use some weird fake squered chicken ....
Use to be the bomb but new owner took over about 1-1/2 yrs ago n food has been going down hill since but Friday was the last time 42.00 for 3 meals prices crazy now n food was small portions n did not taste well after 16 yrs living down the street to see it go down hill it's sad wont be back looking for new burger place

Place is trash , and food is old as hell. Don't waste your money and the help at the front is rude as can be.
Overall their food is very good. Steak sandwiches can use a little seasoning. Even just adding a little Mrs. Dash.
Its been the worst I ever oder thru the drive thru wait for 37 min my friend got off the car and had to go inside and asked for the food never again
