I have been going here for years and have recommended it to people. After my last trip, the price change was noticable. I do not want to accuse them of price gouging but the food is not worth the listed price anymore. Not that it was cheap before but it made sense. For reference, I paid 16 dollars and change for 3 burritos con todo which included a credit card processing fee. At 12-13 bucks it was still worth it. They are probably charging over 4 bucks now for just bean and cheese lol.
Tasty quesadilla, salsa and burritos with friendly service, fair prices and safe COVID practices. Not super sized so big eaters may want to double. Homemade flour tortillas are a must for takehome.
Homemade flour tortillas and birria.... you can't go wrong at this place... a must try is the especial de la casa... it's the best wet burritos you can have ever have!!!!
Muy buenos! Reminds me of my people from Mexicali taquerias that always have handmade taco size tortillas! This is more like the little burritos de carne con papas, desebrada ,tinga y chicharrón con frijoles the ladies sell at the border crossing from Tijuana Tecate and Mexicali.The tortilla was very good not salty at all, the salsa perfect ? except I like mine hotter, no eating at a table here so eat at home or your car.Downside is @ $3.50 each it’s borderline to expensive for such a simple creation easily replicated at home if you know how to make shredded beef with spices and flour tortillasI would still buy two to kill the craving if I’m ever around!

They could give me a tortilla with butter, roll it up, and I'd be in heaven!! My super picky kiddo thoroughly enjoyed a bean and cheese burrito, my hubby had the birria, chicharron, and bean and cheese burritos, I had a birria and bean and cheese, and we split a deshebrada that comes with potato and green sauce. The burritos are small enough that you can try 2 or 3. 1 was perfect for my kiddo which was nice for a change since most places make the big burritos too big for her. All the burritos were freaking delicious! I enjoyed every bite and so did my family. We'll definitely be back!
Found this place through the Michelin Bib Gourmand - Homemade tortilla burritos with fresh shredded beef in a red or green sauce is what you have to order. You can add beans and mozzarella to the burrito as well. Don't get the pork burrito (it's just cooked and slippery pork rinds). Very helpful and friendly staff. I wish they gave you chips with the to-go orders...
Food was delicious ? had the Chicharron burritos left with 5 no judgement ?Also burritos weren't that small people were super dramatic in their reviews... I was good with 3.....would definitely go back to try other carnes. Service was polite and fast! Five stars in my book!
Very good Mexican restaurant.I had 2 bean and cheese burritos tortillas are florwer with a light toast . The beans reminded me of my mother's beans over all good place to stop and grab a burrito, or two they are on the smaller size but for under $4 what is there to complain.
If you're in El Monte, try this Unique restaurant! Bet you won't eat just one burrito!!! They're Fire ♥️
