Johnny's has the best burritos in the world! I live in Santee but Johnny's is my first stop when I go to El Centro.
Johnny's never disappoints. They do use lard in their beans if you are a veghead but have many other options. Delicious and right off the freeway.

No dine in, covid of course. Service was just ok. Fish taco was really pretty good. Carne Asada taco - the meat was dry and overspiced. Regular taquitos were supposed to be beef. The inside filling was mushy, were there beans inside my taquitos instead of meat?
Love this place and they have vegetarian options like soy chorizo with potatoes!!!!

I don't know what happens in the restaurant, but for a while now the customer service is terrible! Today I was about 1 hour trying to place an order by phone, but they never responded. (When I asked why they did not respond? They told me that they had not moved to the phone to take orders). In the restaurant, I was served by a young woman named Danessa. Good place for a fast grab. Love their rolled taquitos with guacamole and cheese, the been and cheese fried burritos their tacos. Very friendly all the time. Highly recommend
Ordered a chicken burrito, they got the order wrong, and the chicken they used was cubed, not very tasty, rather void of taste and seemed old. My daughter said the bean and cheese burrito was ok.
