Horrible and Unprofessional service. My family and I used to love this place and we had been coming here all my life until we noticed the quality of the food was cheap and disgusting. The burritos are so soggy and watery and have a little bit of unflavored meat, tortilla is under cooked a chewy and roll tacos are so cold and stingy with the shredded cheese on top. Took a long break from coming here for that reason but decided to give it another try and place an order. Specifically ordered a carne asada burrito guacamole with no pico, as this burrito was for two kids. Got my order and came home only to cut the burrito to have pico and A LOT of it. Another burrito I had ordered for my mom came out correct but we noticed such little meat and ton of watery pico. The whole burrito was soggy! The kids didn’t want to eat the messed up burrito and I understand mistakes happen but called to see if they can fix their mistake. When I called and explained the guy who took the order, who is the same guy who has been their all this life as if he is never going to do anything productive with his life but work at his families taco shop, immediately got bothered and made it sound like it was my fault for ordering wrong. I didn’t come off rude in anyway but simply explained what happened. Instead of making it right, he was very unprofessional. As if remaking a $10 burrito is really going to affect their business, what bs. Instead I went down the street to Los Garcia’s taco shop where their food is waaayyy better and they actually care about their customers. Their burritos are packed with savory meat and guacamole is fresh. screw Silva’s…that’s the last time my family, friends and I go to this place. GO TO GARCIA’S TACO SHOP INSTEAD!!!!
I've been coming here since I was 12 years old that's over 20 years ago lol I've never came once and the food not taste the same! It's been the same cook for years!! And you can TASTE the love they put into it! I seriously don't have anything to do in El Cajon but decided to come here just to get the Carne Asada fries with American guacamole! ???? I've tried almost everything on the menu and I'm always satisfied! By far the best taco shop in San Diego! I always feel like home when I come here! Thank you Silva's for the delicious food you're serving!! ???
The restaurant was recently re-decorated, and the ambiance is great. The food was a hit with us and our kids, and the service was really good. I'll be back!
I’m a customer for 15 years already. I was trying to make an order and the guy doesn’t want to take my order because I didn’t pay by phone, they never do that to me and I explain I was driving and I always pick up my orders, because obviously we are hungry. I can’t not take the moment to pick up my card and give my card number by phone, he say sorry if you are a customer for long but I can’t no take your order if you no provide the card number, me and my wife talk about the situation and we decide to don’t go back there and get food from sol as taco any more, we found Roberto’s taco with better prices and good customer service by phone in lakeside, farewell sol as taco.
I went there for a San Diego carne asada burrito and wasn't disappointed! Only in San Diego can you get a carne asada burrito that only has meat, guacamole and pico de gallo. The meat was plentiful and not overly gristly. All the flavors and seasoning was spot on. Anywhere outside of San Diego they want to add cheese, beans rice and other unnecessary stuff. I can't wait to go again in March!
The Cali Burrito and Carne Asada fries were excellent. I highly recommend giving them a visit. Going back for more menu items :)
This place IS THE BEST Tacoshop in this area. The Staff are ALWAYS Friendly and Welcoming. The Food Is Amazing!!! ?
Not sure how I feel about the workers inside eating while nobody has masks on… Been waiting forever for my burrito..A guy who ordered after me got this order before me.. The burrito was pretty fire tho. Not sure if I’ll be back.

Heard on tiktok they have the best bean and cheese burrito so of course I had to come try. They did not disappoint. Honestly some or the best mexican food I've had in a while. Food was amazing and the portions were huge. Price wasn't bad either, its about what you would expect to pay at a taco shop and some things were even cheaper. Front of house staff was a vibe and gave the whole place a cheerful atmosphere
