One of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. The food is always amazing and flavorful. The service is friendly and they gave me a bunch of sauces. It’s a must go for fans of casual middle eastern cuisine.
Wow! I bookmarked this eatery from the activity log on Yelp and, I'm so glad I did! The food at the Sahara was fantastic and so were each and every employee. We had the chicken kabob with saffron rice, Greek salad, cheese flat bread, beef middle eastern 'egg rolls', and, potato curry soup. Wow! all the dishes were delicious and we walked out of there carrying our stomachs! We definitely will be regulars!
The food here is pretty good especially the lentil soup and the staff here are all nice and accommodating.
First time there, I had the chicken Tikka plate which was so good. The cucumber salad for the side is a must. It's crisp and refreshing. But they should give bigger cups for water so you don't have to refill so often. Totally coming back for more !
I am from michigan and very fussy about food. This is the best iraqi cookingI have ever seen in the US.Woderful kuba and borag. Nice kebab and chicken tika. Just wonderful mansuf, although its a jordanian dish. I asked for another mansuf order, it was that good.
I highly recommend the beef shawarma plate! Very glad that this place has opened their doordash reach to our part of the neighborhood. It's a bit pricey but the portions are generous. Compared to other Middle Eastern places in San Diego, their food is not underwhelmingly dry. I would definitely order from here again.
If you from NY and looking for some good middle eastern food, or “halal” as we like to generalize them back home.. this is the spot. No ? .. it’s pricey, but the food BUSSS!! Might be the best in SD..
