the service was good also the food and appetizers

This place is so much better than Hometown Buffet. Lots of good choices and they're tasty too. It costs a little more but it's worth it. Hope the quality doesn't go down hill like HTB has. I will definitely be back. **UPDATE** Have been back here a few times and the food seems consistent and good. Sometime they are slow bringing out the dinner items after they start charging dinner prices on weekends.*** went back today** ..... Still delici‼️ous, (in case you were wondering) ? ? ? ?. XXL ❗?

The food here is actually pretty good and I’m a picky eater myself but personally I’ve never been fond of buffets. The severs is always excellent and they do a great job! the only thing that bothers me about this place is the format of the restaurant specifically, the dining area I don’t like the set up at ALL it feels so claustrophobic if possible it would be best to make an investment in better booths and chairs and raise those walls that are meant to be set up as dividers but I do understand too that it’s because it is a little small inside but it’s just a suggestion.

You get what you pay for at $18.99/pp during dinner

Golden Corral is the best buffet and the nicest staff. The manager Soloman is always very nice and pleasant. I see him helping the elderly, treating them like family and going above and beyond to make them feel special. It is so refreshing to see good people. This is the best buffet with so many good choices of food and the great staff makes it even more enjoyable. This is the best deal in town. Seniors $13.99 and Early Bird specials between 2:pm - 4:pm is $12.99 including a drink.

I never review as low as this but hey long story short. Really nice service not gonna lie. But the food, less than I expected, and for the price???? Not worth it at all. Npw I ain't saying is the worse, again, to each their own but in this case. I give it 6/10 stars. AND if you go here, get the steak and sautee fish, and the chubby bread, the best here.

toda la comida y el excelente servicio

An average experience, no different than any other bargin buffet. The food: The selections was very typical ranging from American classics, to bad taco bell knock off, and a very boring salad bar. They do have some great dishes but really don't add any wow factor or even relatable Community foods. El cajon location has a huge variety of cultures with Hispanic, middle eastern, Somali, Asian, none of which are represented here except the really bad taco bell style crunchy tacos. They did have some southern dishes which were passable to a non southerner.Price: actually a little lower than expected at less than $20 for a weekday dinner.Customer service: nice enough employees, the grill master cooking up steaks was the key person there. Everyone knew him and talked to him. He was a great guy and really went above and beyond to ensure your dining experience.Location: great location, easy to get to, plenty of parking and about a block from downtown El cajon to walk off all that food.Decor is also nothing special. Pretty sure they just reused the old hometown buffet interior, perhaps even their menu.Overall: I will go back and try their breakfast options. It is ok, better for the price nothing really makes me want to go there though. They need almost a whole new menu, heck serve breakfast all day that's a winner. The desert selection was very sad. Mostly store bought looking cookies and some cakes. Even the Sunday bar was pretty sad.The best part is they have an icee machine. I had like 4 icee's.

Great golden corral location. Pretty large place, wait times were not too bad both days we were there. The manager is a great dude, the servers very courteous, hardworking and helpful. The selection of food is not as wide as I'm used to in the locations in Los Angeles, but still quite a good selection of food. I definitely recommend.

Went there after sea world with 9 others. Granted we arrived about 8pm and they had no prob letting us pay the price of admission x 9 people which was around $240 but this is where things went down. If they didn't want to feed us they should not have took our money. They barely had any food out, the food that was out was old and not good and they were not putting anything new out. They had the ice cream machine closed. The steak cooker seemed very upset and bothered that he had to do his job and cook steak that we wanted. When I asked for more he just walked off upset. Eventually he came back to cook it. Him and his partner seemed more interested in cleaning so they can leave right at 9. The manager was around and observed this but didn't seem to care so I didn't see a point in escalate to him. The only good employee was out server whom was very pleasent and funny. The experience here was awful and much different than I'm used to at golden corral. I regularly visit the Anaheim and Downey location and these two restaurants are amazing from staff to the food.
