Love this place ! .. been coming here every time I needed a cake. I have gotten a cake for my son’s baby shower and then for his 1st and 2nd birthday now 3rd and now my second son’s baby shower cake and they never fail .. they are super friendly ladies and they do their business with the craft and I will be coming here every birthday etc !! .. I highly recommend them.
The women in here are incredibly talented, ive gotten three birthday cakes here and when when i tell you these Artist don't miss, they do not miss. No more needs to be said
All I can say is Yummy! It was our first time going to the Flour Power Cakery after all these years and we only got the 'do it yourself' cookie package for $20.00. I thought lets have some fun on this Saturday morning, and we were pleasantly surprised.There's so much included in the kit to add to your cookie decorating that you'll have a lot left over and a huge sugar rush. There's a huge amount of single serve sweets for sale which I thought was brilliant, because when we all have those sweet attacks there won't be any leftovers!Give them a try next time your in the mood for sweets or an awesome baked cake. :)

I chose Flour Power Cakery for my wedding desserts because of a vendor recommendation. From start to finish it was a good experience. We got to take home a box of cake samples to decide on our flavor and share the experience with my husband's grandparents. Jenna Carino was attentive via email and made suggestions/adjustments around our vision + budget. My only hiccup was about couple weeks out from the wedding I guess the macaroon lady no longer worked for them (I wanted some on my wedding cake) and Flour Power suggested I buy macaroons and drop them off which was an added stress and not ideal on an already long list of to dos. In the end though everything worked out and I was able to support another small business with purchasing their macaroons. I would recommend using Flour Power for your dessert needs and if you are planning a wedding work with Jenna.
With so many amazing bakeries in San Diego, it was hard to find the right one for our simple two tier wedding cake, but we are so happy to say that Flour Power exceeded our expectations! The tasting was so much fun because we got to take the slices home and enjoy each one to it’s full potential. We had a top five after trying each slice and it was so hard to narrow down to one, but we knew we had to go with the champagne. It was the perfect combination of sweetness and celebratory for our special day! Although our design was simple, it truly was the wedding cake of my dreams and I am so grateful for the intentional work that was put into this dessert. We froze the second tier of our cake and have a slice every month on our anniversary and it’s still as delicious as the day of!
We ordered the raspberry champagne cake. No one liked it. The pink cream tasted like powder candy. Paid $50.
As part of the All-inclusive Package with Abbey Event Design and Catering, we chose Flour Power as our cakery for our son-in-law and daughter’s wedding. The couple preferred a classic cake with frosting instead of the trendy naked cake or cupcakes and a dessert table. They enjoyed their tasting and design session. They chose lemon chiffon, black forest, and red velvet layers and they created this beauty. Many guests shared compliments of how the cake was both beautiful and delicious.
