Five Guys has the best-tasting hamburgers. I oftentimes buy 2 hamburgers for myself. The first one gets practically inhaled on the drive home to La Mesa and the other one is saved for dinner or a late night snack. The burgers are expensive, so I don't treat myself very often. It would be nice if they offered their own delivery service. If you order delivery, you are paying 2 separate delivery fees (1 for them and 1 for the 3rd party delivery co.), and don't forget to tip the driver. ISN'T THAT RUDE OF FIVE GUYS TO CHARGE YOU FOR THEIR FOOD AND A DELIVERY FEE, even though they are not delivering it!!
Juicy but not greasy burgers! Fresh toppings. Regular and Cajun fries from freshly cut potatoes. My favorite chain burger! Oh yeah orange vanilla hiC tastes just like a dreamcicle Yum
I stopped in to try the fries, not many places prepare them in this way. FULL STOP. Very slow service with only 1 customer in front of us. The cashier forgot to make my shake & went on break instead after standing around and surreptitiously watching me for 3 minutes by my watch. The Shift Supervisor noticed that I was still waiting & made my shake after verifying my order number BUT STILL FORGOT THE WHIPPED CREAM. The fries were just ok, not in the same league as Boardwalk Fries. The shake was also just ok, nothing stood out about it. The price was WAYYY TOO HIGH!!! My advice; never visit here, there are better choices for your money.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, I would never go back to that place ever again!!!!! I ordered hamburger sandwiches for my brother’s birthday, and when we picked up the food they didn’t give us the whole order!! So when we want to the party we had only half of the order. I called the store and I spoke with the manager there he really made me so mad and he was talking to me very rudely! I asked him to deliver the rest of my order because first I’m not close to the place and second the birthday party already started, the manager Mani stated he doesn’t have a delivery option and I only can pick up the rest of my order even though it wasn’t my fault and it was there fault! My wife called them back and he offered her a refund or an extra French fries which we weren’t interested in! After all of the back and forth, I went back to the restaurant for the refund, the manager didn’t give me any options to make up there mistake, he said I only can refund the price for the 2 sandwiches or give you extra fries with the 2 sandwiches! I spent more that $30 worth of gas just to get refund for 2 sandwiches!!!!! He should’ve handled it better than that! NEVER AGAIN! BTW I still owe the restaurant $27!!!
Went there around 4pm, the place was empty, it was nice and clean. Ordered bacon cheeseburger which was delicious, fries were soggy and not so good. Staff didn't even say hello, they were not nice at all. They also tossed fries in the bag, making packaging very messy, it was impossible to eat it without getting your hands oily and salty.
Food was very good. Mix up with our order, but the staff was quick to fix it. Glad there are still the peanuts available to eat.
Biased review here. I have loved these burgers and fries for many many years.Five Guys was originally a DC area joint before expanding across the country.
INSANELY DELICIOUS! Blown away by the quality, it was our first time. The cashier at the Parkway Plaza location was so helpful and kind, he took his time explaining everything with a friendly attitude. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, GO!
Good people and the food was good too. It's just a bit too expensive for what it is. One of those places that are good to visit when you're out with friends (just my opinion)
This will be my last visit here for a long time. The food is great but $40 for 2 people to have burgers and fries is a little much. They justify it by using the best and freshest ingredients but I'd rather eat at In n Out for half that price and the ingredients are just as fresh. Different but fresh and in my opinion just as good! Also, they are "Mask Nazis" and won't let you in without one even though they allow dinning inside and all those people are not wearing masks. Doesn't make sense. I guess they think you can't spread or contract COVID while eating? Oh well, it's their choice to not serve me just like it's my choice to never go back. That being said, the burgers and fries are definitely unique and tasty!
