Staff was very friendly and helpful. Got the wedge salad it's huge and delicious. Bf got pulled pork sandwiche which was delicious with a side of sweet potato fries. Those were different but still good. Buffalo wings had great flavor. And the kid liked his Mac and cheese and corn dogs.
This is my first time here, my dad wanted BBQ for Father's Day so I looked on Google and ordered online. As soon as we pulled up outside, the style of the restaurant was really cool, and parking was good.We walked in and were greeted right away and very friendly. They checked on our online order and mentioned it's almost ready (we came early) and the host gave us a fountain drink while we waited. Super great service! That simple yet kind gesture is enough for us to come back and we haven't even tried the food yet!
Visiting San Diego, we searched for a great bbq spot and boy did we find a great one. Our group got baby back ribs, tri tip, sausage, chicken sandwich, coleslaw & bread pudding. With huge portions, there wasn't a thing left on our trays. We loved everything. Not only do they have great food, but the staff was so friendly. Made us feel at home. What a hidden gem. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip. I hope they have added a brisket by then!
I just ordered Buck Boards for the first time. One word describes the whole experience... AWESOME!!! Thank you Jenna and to your incredible chefs. This is the best BBQ I've had in over 25+ years!I enjoyed the delicious Tri Tip, BBQ Beans, Apple Cobbler... every bite was perfect. Your BBQ Sauce selections are well seasoned and will keep me coming back for more!I'm tipping my hat to y'all, you rocked it.
My expectations of what good BBQ are just different. The baby back ribs that they use have a substantial amount of meat on the bones. Unfortunately, they were served cold, and without any sauce, they have no real flavor.They offer you 3 house made sauces in 1-ounce souffle cups which is not enough for a half rack of ribs.Their French fries were served scalding hot. Unfortunately,unseasoned and disappointingly tasteless.The decor of the restaurant is all dark wood, which is nice, if that is your thing.They appear to have an impressive array of beers for sale in either bottle or glass, as well as serve a lesser known brand of sodas. The root beer was tasty.Overall, not the worst BBQ experience, but in my mind, a little too expensive for the food quality considering there are other, better BBQ restaurants within a 5 mile radius of this restaurant.
First time to Buckboard’s, it was amazing! The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The food was on par with our favorite BBQ place in Texas. The tri-tip sandwich was fantastic. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. Will definitely be back again.

Great burgers! Juicy and cooked just right. Wedge fries are huge and the onion wings are delicious! We tried the home made chili...so much Food!! definitely going back to try the BBQ ribs
Coming from the Midwest we were apprehensive about CA BBQ. BUT wow!!! The food is served on quarter baking sheets. A half rack of Beef ribs (4) fills half the sheet and Texas toast on the other side. Order the pulled pork and you better be hungry! It melts in your mouth! My 9 year old that is ALWAYS hungry inhaled the mini corn dogs but still had his side of Mac n cheese left. He tried to steal one of my corn muffins but couldn’t eat it all. He did eat 2.5 of the 5 Mac n cheese balls. The only disappointment was the corn muffins but when you can’t eat everything anyway, no big loss. Service was super fast!!! And friendly!!! They close at 8pm on a Friday! (I forgot we got the potato salad it was delicious as well but we are taking it home!!!
