i got the most absolutely bussing vegan burrito. the cashier was very accommodating to my veganness, and helped me come up with substitutions. these were black beans in place of refried beans and house potatoes (wow) instead of rice (cooked with chicken broth). 11/10 would recommend to vegans and non-vegans alike.
In the past my wife and I would come in for the cantina quite often. Unfortunately over the last several months its randomly open. Sucks to get the craving for Mexican food & beers drive there randomly on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday around 5pm to 7pm and there closed. Hopefully they can get their hours/staff constant again!

We loved this place! It it’s our second time here, our first visit was a month ago but surprisingly the staff remembered us and she even remembered where we sat last time! I was really impressed by their good service! This place is really busy but the staff is still really nice and helpful so please be patient with them.The price is reasonable and the food is AMAZING!! They have a great selection of food and drinks!( They even have a separate area for the Bar/ Cantina!)We especially loved their soup and Hot Cheetos burrito!! Their soup always comes in a big bowl and the hot Cheetos burrito might sound weird but trust me it’s sooo good!!!We will definitely keep coming back and try out more different items!!
I was turned on to this place just recently and they have multiple locations which is nice because I can get food from them more often if I’m craving it. The Shreddy burrito is so delicious. The big rolled tacos are BIG! I order 5 with a side of rice and it was a little much but man so delicious. The carne asada nachos were good but not great. The quality is amazing just felt they were missing something. So many unique choices that I don’t think you could ever try them all! The salsa is very hot!!!
Awesome food! Their CA burritos are great and consistent, and their breakfast burritos are fantastic too. A little pricey but absolutely worth it in my opinion. Their salsas are also very flavorful, and if you dine in you get free chips! Highly recommended!
Great food, personalized service, with a hometown feel at the bar. Albert's is our go to for Mexican food.
Good food, a bit overpriced and typically the order is correct. However, they could smile more...I think that would make the food taste better...but it tastes pretty good, anyhow!
Love this place. I prefer the Lakeside location, but this place is really good. I will not come to San Diego without a trip to Alberts. You should do the same.
Albert’s in El Cajon catered a lunch after my mom’s funeral. Claudia delivered everything and set it up while we were at the service. She did an awesome job and the food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed the food. I had tried several caterers and everyone was booked and would have cost much more. So happy we went with Albert’s Mexican Restaurant.
