Our regular place only does delivery only so we drove down here and the place was great! Fast service and really good food for the prices. We are definitely coming back and might become regulars
My go-to Japanese take out. The teriyaki bowls are all great. The protein is always well cooked and the veggies extra fresh & flavorful. You can't go wrong with the sushi here either.
Ist time in Ahi Sushi, large menu lot to choose from, had several type of sushi & Ramen noodles. The food was extremely salty especially the sushi. Service was OK, only saw waitress when order was taken, delivered & brought the bill.
Sushi is usually good. However, definitely don’t dine-in close to their closing time because you will be watched by the servers who’ll just stand by the bar and watch people eat. You will feel awkward and won’t even be able to enjoy your food because they will be constantly approaching your table trying to take something away regardless of whether you’re done with it or not. Their ultimate goal is to get you out of there as soon as possible.

Food is great. However, if your picking-up keep in mind if you pay cash the girl will automatically put all your cash back into the tip jar. This happened twice already to me. And then charge you for a condiment that they don't charge when your dinning in. Won't be going back because of those things. Ur in a hurry so u order takeout, doesn't make sense they don't let you tip your own amount and they just assume they can keep the rest and then be charged for a simple condiment to go with the food u ordered ?♀️
The quality of their sushi has tanked in the past four years. I've been a loyal patron for many years, but their manager and staff are dreadful and I cannot continue to support them. They are rude, curt, and dismissive. Last week I was treated so poorly that I walked out before ordering. The owner and wait staff do not understand customer service, and they are unwilling to accommodate their patrons. I've given this place many chances, and they continue to fail their customers. They've earned this one-star rating. Diner beware.
Really good sushi, and super affordable prices! Love the 50% off menu items - I ordered the California roll and Crunchy roll. I ate here twice in the past week. I came here a few days ago with my family members and ordered a couple appetizers, and they were very good as well. I think this is going to become my go-to place when it comes to sushi!
Wasn't expecting for them to have ramen, but I ordered the Tonkutsu and omg, it was amazing!! Their gyoza and sushi was delicious.
We love Ahi Sushi! It's been a family favorite in La Mesa for many years.
